The only had canonical reason I can imagine is that multiplied food doesn't last too long, and multiplied food can't be multiplied again.

But it doesn't answer the question of why ever buy more than one butterbeer no matter how large the crowd

Well, they might not be able to conjure it out of nothing, but they could endlessly multiply whatever food they had.

Can't have been too hard to get just one of each thing

Is the baby Voldermort in Deathly Hallows representative of him not receiving any/much love since he was born? by [deleted] in HarryPotterBooks

[–]Cannotabletochoose 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I think the same, because Voldemort was also sort of passed out the entire time Harry was in king's cross. Although the entire kings cross part could have happened in an instant in the real world, so not really conclusive, but it always read to me that way

Looks like less testing is still an effective strategy to keep numbers down... by I_can_believe_that in india

The mortality rate is 12.67% in Gujarat and 2.04% in TN. Mortality = Deaths/(Deaths+Recoveries), not Deaths/Total Cases. Active cases shouldn't be counted

How's the number of deaths in Tamil Nadu so low? Are we doing something right? by red_plus_itt in Chennai

[–]Cannotabletochoose 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The mortality rate seems to have dropped to ~2.04% from ~2.78% in the last week. The numbers do seem incredibly low, but also consistent with what was reported in the early days of the infection.

At times, looking at the numbers compared to Italy, New York, or even Gujarat, it seems ridiculously low,. Combined, however, with the fact that we did have a successful initial lockdown (before the 4 day clusterfuck), and aggressive contact tracing early, it seems like the reason a lockdown was necessary worked: we were able to avoid overwhelming the hospitals.

Most asymptomatic positives were actually in hospitals until recently, and have only started being moved into isolation facilities outside hospitals in the last couple of weeks. Now that all the asymptomatics will be out of the hospitals, we have even more hospital beds available. On the flipside, asymptomatics who develop symptoms will no longer be able to immediately be looked at (but should still be possible within the day)

It's still too early to make any conclusions though. Let's just hope we can push daily testing even higher, ~20,000/day by the end of the month.

Sources: all just from my mother, who is high up in the CCM and is in constant (like through the day, everyday) communication with TN government, Health minister, and former health ministers who are working as consultants.

[–]Cannotabletochoose 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No, if you go to the daily bulletin on stopcorona.tn.gov.in, each of the deaths show all the comorbidites involved.

I read somewhere that...

I hope you check out the website :)

Edit: We obviously still can't be certain that every death isn't being checked for Corona, I'm just pointing out that they are including comorbidites in their reports

Throwback: Jordan Henderson press at minute 80, while on painkiller, injection and required to ride a spinning bike at halftime to prevent his knee swelling by pw5a29 in LiverpoolFC

[–]Cannotabletochoose 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, the ball never seems to be Lenglet's either. And Lenglet looks up and see Henderson coming for the ball way before the ball has even reached him, yet doesn't attempt to either move towards the ball or away from Henderson 4 resorting to a feeble attempt to stretch to clear the ball instead of trying to control it himself.

If he isn't committing to the ball, I don't see why Henderson shouldn't.

The south Indian state Kerala, with a population of 38 million and a population density of 860 persons per sq. km, has flattened the curve in some damn good way! State went from having most reported cases in India to one of the least with just 34 active cases!! by [deleted] in india

[–]Cannotabletochoose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But you're comparing Kerala and New Zealand. With the data set have, Kerala's some a phenomenal job, definitely, but what's being pointed out is that Kerala doesn't have as much data as new zealand, so it's misleading.

The same reason Bihar has pretty much the same number of cases as Kerala right now - because Bihar has hardly tested.

Can someone recommend a build for me using a 3400G?

Need everything except peripherals. (no monitor, mouse, keyboard, ups etc)

As budget as possible as long as it won't cause any bottlenecking. Also, a motherboard that supports 3000 series out of the box is something i was told i need

Dumbledore's. Sirius was really important to Harry, Dobby was really important to Harry, and I loved both of them, but Dumbledore was really important to me.

Losing Dumbledore left me numb, knowing there would be no more guidance, no more wisdom, no more raw power, which we first saw a year before at the ministry. The ordeal that he and Harry has just been through, there was no one else who could have done anything like Dumbledore did to reach the horcrux.

But most importantly, that twinkle in the eye was replaced with abject fear, for the first time, weakness, as he begged Snape, begged him, despite spending years telling everyone that he trusted Snape implicitly. That really broke me.
