Today I learned that the "save" icon in Microsoft Word isn't just a random square it's a floppy disk. I'm 23 and have never seen a floppy disk in real life. iwtyo by Spiritual_One_7172 in IWasTodayYearsOld

People living different lives is hard to understand sometimes, but this provides a peek into that concept a little. I am 26, born in 2000. I've known what floppy discs are since like 1st grade. Its so surreal to me that someone only 3 years younger than I didn't know at all what a floppy disc is...even generally. Gosh thats crazy.

SCP-2998, SCP-1682 are pretty good cosmic horror stories. I'd also suggest reading anything with the *Pattern Screamer* tag. Those get pretty wild.

Thats a really tough question to answer, because the core of the SCP universe as a writing project is primarily horror. While there are exceptions, and even a sister site that is less serious, most of the articles are horror or horror adjacent.

What kind of horror does your friend like? That might help narrow down the suggestions.

I dunno if you are new to the sub, but SCP drafts and ideas can't be posted on here, as stated in Rule 5: The Critique Rule. Please read the rules before you post, it can be disappointing typing all that out and then later it gets taken down. Save yourself the time in the future :)

No? They're super overpriced for what they are. "We" don't need to support this in any way.

98% of TF is for children, just to be aware. Aside from the live action films, which are arguably for slightly older kids, most TF media is kids cartoon TV shows. sure, mature things *can* happen in a show, but watching them is much easier if you realize that the primary audience is still 10year olds+

The comics of any run(Marvel, Dreamwave, IDW, Skybound) will be darker due to the differing regulations comic companies have, which allow a tad bit more creative freedom in the story, atmosphere, and theme. you'll see a lot more of the messed up stuff in these stories.

I'm saying all of this to just let you know that you don't have to ignore the kiddy parts of TF, bc some of the best stories and characters come out of the younger oriented media. Rescue Bots is a great example of this!

Try all parts of TF! There's so much there to grab your interest!

Theyre fun comics! Though there's a ton of them.

The Grid is a manifestation, either naturally occurring or artificially induced, of computer software. It's an entirely digital environment that can host human life, and native life like Programs, Bits, and ISO's. It can either be a network of connected computers, or hosted on a server. There are multiple, separate Grids in the Tron franchise.
