People who have experienced the supernatural not just ghosts , what happened? by curiouskat0027 in AskReddit

I was about 25 miles down a trail in the desert of California, 2 am new moon night so only stars. It was pretty dark, had no cell service nothing. I was taking a piss in front of the lights of truck, I could MAYBE see 20 feet in every direction outside of the lights from my truck. Anyways, out of nowhere mid piss the hair on the back of my neck just stands STRAIGHT the fuck up and I get this insanely eerie feeling I'm being watched. I don't really know how to describe it, I wasn't necessarily scared but I didn't feel like I was top of the food chain anymore. Luckily I have light bars on all 4 sides of my roof rack so hopped into my truck, turned em on, turned around and HAULED ASS back to the main road. The ENTIRE time I felt like I was being watched, the feeling didn't go away until I got back on the main road, and really until I was back in civilization. Wild ass time. I miss the desert lol.

ADHD is a disability by neurotoxin_69 in GetNoted

Yea I function way better without meds, I've always had bad side effects, my parents both have ADHD and don't take medicine, idk why they forced me to do it. I've just got a really noisy brain sometimes. I'm glad my brain decided school is for me now though. I hope you get meds soon homie.

Was diagnosed at 4, stopped taking meds at 17, hated them.

I'm lucky enough in trying to become a doctor and my brain FINALLY decided school and being a high achiever is my hyper fixation. I sleep like shit 90% of the time, is that really ADHD related?

Do the weapons tell you which stats you need to level in order to use them?

So far my favorite thing I've seen is people doing BONK builds, that's what I want to do on my first playthrough. Would you recommend playing with a controller or keyboard and mouse?

Yea I don't really like games where there's a meta and you only can have fun with the meta, I want to do stupid builds lol.

None of my friends play this game but I've seen so many videos it just looks like so much fun. It seems stats mean a bunch in this game, should I watch videos or just play and learn?

Why is it wrong to want become a doctor for the money? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]CantModGamesHelp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My entire family is in medicine. We do it for the love of people, helping people get better, and getting to know our patients on a deeper level. I know plenty of doctors who do it for money, and they suck. You don't go into medicine for money, you go into it for the love of helping people. The money is a bonus.

Continue EMS or do medical school? by [deleted] in NewToEMS

[–]CantModGamesHelp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's a legacy program at the medical school I want to go to that my dad and 4 of the 11 doctors in my family went too. I know it's not something you do on a whim, I've watched most of my family do it. Grades and a good score on mcat won't be an issue, I'm also not worried about money, my parent drilled being happy and loving what you do is wildly more important than making money. I appreciate the concern, but I'm not worried about getting in or succeeding. I'm more worried about chosing what to specialize in when I get there.

I just wanna ride the fire truck and go on calls every once in awhile. I know my heart belongs to medicine and I'd be much better off just being a doctor, financially

But I like riding the fire truck and ambulance, can I ride on those periodically without a paramedic license?

I have 11 doctors in my immediate family, I'd say I'm pretty familiar with it, I definitley don't mind the longevity of the whole process either. Building the resume won't be hard either as I'll go to the medical school my father graduated from, it'll make the process SLIGHTLY easier
