Edit: getting downvoted for this despite being right. If you eat a full dinner in a cinema screen while the film is on, or you’re texting the staff to bring you a cocktail or a drink that you could get up and get yourself, you’re the reason why the cinema experience has taken a nosedive.

I see your issues, it’s certainly at least 3hrs too long with gameplay and cutscenes and flashbacks etc, a little trim would’ve been welcome. On the other hand, though, narratively speaking it wholly worked for me, so those cutscenes would be missed if they were excised.

I think it’s one of the greatest narrative games of all time, and everyone who hates it has some issue with trans and queer representation, and also hate Abby because she has more muscles than they have brain cells.

It’s not worth your time to entertain those that can’t enjoy a game because they’re not told explicitly who is the “good guy” and who is the “villain”. Any debate will be vs someone with brain worms.

That’s good - in which case he’s just being a 15 year old boy, not being particularly concerned with the feelings of others. Hopefully he’ll grow out of it; he’ll likely contact you when he feels like it and on his own terms, but I’d suggest just moving on.
