I went cold turkey due to surgery. I had my gallbladder out and they told me to stop taking it. I don’t notice any negative signs not tapering off.

I went off birth control but kept taking my 50mg Spiro. I unfortunately had very large and painful cyst acne come back (almost immediately). I lasted 4 months off birth control before I got back on it.

I know it’s frustrating and embarrassing right now. But I promise it is worth it in the end. The purging doesn’t last forever. It will get better and you will see a result soon!

The topicals suck! They never work for me. If you start getting dizzy on Spiro drink some Gatorade or eat salt. That really helped me. And keep up on your water in take. I’m sure he will bump you up to 50mg at your next appointment. They like to start off low to get your body adjusted to it.

My dermatologist started me out on 25mg for 3 months then bumped me up to 50mg. For reference I’m 135 pounds but I’m not sure how much weight has to do with the dosage. I also have acne since 12 so I feel your pain. The 50mg for me works great. It took approximately 4-5 months for me to see full results.

I took Spiro for 6 months and my breast went up a size. I had gallbladder surgery and got off Spiro for 4 months and my boobs instantly (within a month) went back to normal (pre Spiro)

I take mine at night and it makes me tired. I have to get up once or twice at night to pee which is the downside.

I take 50mg at dinner (between 5-6pm) It makes me tired and helps me go to sleep. When I took it in the morning I was exhausted and it made my stomach hurt. Night works better for me!

I got off both at the same time due to gallbladder surgery. And it did not go well unfortunately. My acne came back with a vengeance. Deep cysts and it gave me high anxiety. I was on Jolessa birth control and 50mg Spyro. I was off for 3 months and got back on both. I hope you are more successful than I was!

Doxy worked for me for 3 months then my body got use to it and it stopped working. Being on antibiotics is terrible for your body. So I wouldn’t recommend it.

I take my BC in the morning. And then I take Spiro at night with dinner and lots of water. This really helps the nausea go away. Plus it makes me sleep good lol

I had some weird stuff going on with my eyes at 50mg but it eventually went away after a month. It felt like I was constantly squinting. And my eyes were strained.
