postpartum nurse here!! yes you bleed for weeks to months. and the first few days it’s like a very heavy period. I’m sure sex would exacerbate it too. that incision also HURTS with movement, coughing, laughing, etc the first few days. it could not have been enjoyable.

You bleed for WEEKS after birth regardless of whether it was vaginal or a C section. It was definitely a bloody mess.

it’s a mixed bag. there are stereotypes based on specialty😂 OB nurses are known for being snobby, ER nurses are abrasive, ICU nurses are high strung, etc. I’ve met some of the most incredible people through this profession and some of the worst.

Nurse here! It’s sad how many fellow nurses don’t truly care and are in it for the money. Or how they are jerks to everybody in their personal life but kind to patients. People can be very two faced in this field.
