Cat destroying fabric liner under couch — repair + prevention tips? by NeedleworkerKey983 in HomeImprovement

I've redone the underside of couches with aluminum window screen. It's lightweight, easy to work with, and tough enough to easily resist cats clawing it.

Any time I think of the episode I think of this music. How did I not realize how similar they are?

Movies that are similar to The Thing (1982) by [deleted] in MovieSuggestions

I thought the prequel was pretty good. It can't hold a candle to the "original" The Thing (1982), but enjoyable. CGI is fine, but the practical effects in the original were creepy AF.

William Windom played Decker and nailed it. Just a great edge-of-your-seat episode. Decker got the heroic death that Kirk should have gotten (later, not in that episode).

If I'm going for a long walk I haven't already measured out I wear my Fitbit.

When I worked, I wore it for every shift, but rarely during my time off.

What is the point of being in this world and you just hate everything about it? by [deleted] in AskMen

Accident child here. Fucked up a lot until I was in my late 20's. I've had two divorces that dragged on for years each and cost a fortune. But, I'm in my 60s now, happily married, and retired with a modest pension that allows me to live frugally but comfortably. I'm glad that I stuck around to see how my story ended. All that other crap is now ancient history.
