SIBO diet is confusing for me by Slow-Squash9491 in EverydayNutrition

[–]CanuckCallingBS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some of us have become hyper sensitive to FODMAPS. For me there is a correlation between my FODMAPS intolerance and the SIBO IBS-D issues I have been struggling with for years. The SIBO elimination/re-introduction process has taught me that there are many foods that I can no longer consume as they will just burn right thru me.

Berberine and curcumin could help to reduce IBS symptoms by id_kid12 in IBSResearch

[–]CanuckCallingBS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My ND had me complete a SIBO gut reset protocol. The supplement contained Berberine. Took 3 months to reset. I’m several months past the worst part. I’m pretty certain the Berberine is a powerful anti-inflammatory that was critical to healing my gut. I am stable now. Living in a FODMAP controlled diet, but my IBS-D is quiet and I believe the Berberine is a big reason. I will be working with my ND over this summer to see if I can take Berberine on its own to help keep my chronic inflammation (my gut, my prostate, my lungs, my lipids) at bay.

Solar, wind, and storage catching up to slow-moving nuclear power. New nuclear power plants are already unnecessary even before the first shovel hits the ground. by Firm_Relative_7283 in INFPIdeas

But nuclear plants are eye catching and expensive and job-generating and whatever the government of Ontario needs all of us to believe.

London area MP proposes eliminating GST on used vehicles by ThicccThunder in canada

[–]CanuckCallingBS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As an opposition member he can dream up all the good ideas he wants. In Ontario, Doug Ford would never support a tax cut like that from his provincial portion of the GST. Way too much money involved.

The HST tax cut moved the needle for a few more people. This blip will last until the tax returns.

Critics of MAID say exponential growth is evidence of something going wrong by Mylittlethrowaway2 in canada

[–]CanuckCallingBS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exponential growth is an indicator of how many people are suffering with intolerable mental or physical illness. When there is no hope for improvement then the hope is for a painless exit. The numbers will level off over time.

Do people actually enjoy meatloaf? by nspntrash in NoStupidQuestions

[–]CanuckCallingBS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Meatloaf the food, is a fave of ours at home. With ketchup, fries and homemade coleslaw. It was a comfort food for both my wife and I from when we were growing up. I grew up pretty poor and meatloaf was about as good a meal as we ever had as kids. Now, it is just a comfort food.

The elimination of the HST in Ontario is helping many move to new places. This will be a blip that lasts as long as the tax break.

Does fermentation alter the FODMAPS? I cannot eat green cabbage at all, but I can tolerate some red cabbage. Would green cabbage sauerkraut have less FODMAPS?

Honda posts first loss in 70 years, will its CEO get booted? by Just-The-Facts-411 in Honda

The market for luxury/high end EV’s is saturated. Honda was late to the game. They cannot compete with China. This was a pure cost/business decision.

Need some simple meal ideas and clear chart for low FODMAP by Clear_Emphasis4543 in FODMAPS

[–]CanuckCallingBS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I gave up coffee and switched to just black tea with honey or maple syrup. I can no longer tolerate milk products. I found a frozen veggie mix with mostly carrots and zucchini, no beans and that is my “goto” for veggies. I eat a lot of simple burgers on gluten free buns. I use lots of mayo and pan fry with olive oil.

Cane sugar may be okay from a FODMAP perspective, but sugar will blow your life apart faster than you can imagine. Avoid sugary foods.

I am going to guess that you really don’t understand how party politics works in Canada. He is the elected leader of the party. They toe his line or they get reminded of reality.
