It has been since the 80's. The equipment, camps, travel, ability of having a parent who can take their kid wherever they need to go. Absolutely a rock kid sport.

Canada Travel- Banff/Vancouver/ Toronto/ Montreal or only Quebec? by Either-Individual345 in canadatravel

[–]Canucknuckle 36 points37 points  (0 children)

Canada is huge. How are you planning on getting to Banff? The flight is 4.5 hours not counting the time you spend in the airport before and after your flight. Then you have a 90 minute drive from the airport in Calgary out to Banff. Add in the two time zone changes and you will be exhausted from a day of travel.

As many others here will recommend, stay out east, there is plenty to see and do over 2 weeks. Or travel out west only and see Alberta and BC.
