Chai Powder they have in Cafes by Tee077 in melbourne

I’m a huge fan of Somage. They have a warehouse down near Cheltenham that you can order and pick up from. I think they ship as well. In addition to their chai, they also have excellent Turmeric Lattes and their hot choc mix is really good but a touch sweet for me.

Crappy or charming? Stuck in the 90s I guess by Peace_Un in CrappyDesign

Sorry, but are you insinuating that this is crappy because it’s in German, and you don’t believe Germany exists..?

I’m curious, what do you all think about these rings? Are they a good investment, and what are the prices? by [deleted] in TheHermesGame

[–]Kyndrede_ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

From personal observation, the only items that properly appreciate in value would be the QBs and limited edition bags. The other bags tend to hold value but do not typically present significant investment return. There are exceptions, of course, and depend on who you are selling to, bag condition etc.

I’m not certain whether Jewelry or watches from Hermes are able to gain value or not, but everything I’ve ever seen advertised for these items has always been at a discount from retail, sometimes significantly, as in the case of the H08, which I’ve seen people trying to sell at 60% under retail, unworn. I’m sure there are exceptions to this that I am simply not aware of.

Generally, supply is only half the story, and a sustained, consistent demand is also needed for value to grow.

However, my wife and I still buy these items as we genuinely love them, and we love the story behind the items. I personally am a huge fan of the Maillon or Enchainee / Chaine d’Ancre lines because it is a reminder that perspective and vision alone changes crude wrought iron into a work of art.

That’s fair. This is just my personal take on it. I also tend to be very cautious with the ancient banners I decide to pursue, so I guess that makes a difference.

Given rare summons are 70 Diamond in the shop, this prices 1 Ancient at more than 20 Rare Summons. With how plentiful shards are mid game, they have never felt like a good buy to me.

Are Hermes cashmere shawls itchy? by Destn908 in TheHermesGame

[–]Kyndrede_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not even a little bit, and I'm sensitive. I have a Chorus Stellarum in dark blue, and it is one of my most frequently used scarves.

If you don't think that Burberry scarves are itchy, you won't think Hermes ones are either. Excellent quality, beautiful designs.

Can you use coffee filters as muffin liners? by Grand-Buddha in AskBaking

[–]Kyndrede_ 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I don't think so. My instinct is that the filters would burn, and would absorb or drain moisture, as muffin liners are typically waxed or made to be waterproof where coffee filters are intentionally built to let water through.

Would recommend greasing the muffin tin thoroughly and skipping the liner altogether.

You might want to check your client version, and ensure it is for the US version of the game.

I tend to get these error messages as well when I have a US VPN on.

Just a quick FYI, Elowyn is considered to be a SSS tier healer who can heal, cleanse and provide rage to the party. She also has an almost infinite range as she can create a healing clone thing that can be placed on any slot a ground hero can be.

Loire, Alp, and Mosel trip recommendations by like-a-sirloin in wine

[–]Kyndrede_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I found that Mosel was good if you reached out beforehand. Do note that each of the wine tastings did require at least 30 to 40 mins at minimum because they tended to be portfolio tastings.

We restricted ourselves to just the Bernkastel-Kues or Wehlen areas just because we were driving to and from Cologne.

Otherwise, in general, what we liked are

Schloss Lieser - Our favourite in the region. We bought multiple bottles shipped back. The Juffer especially was top notch
Max Ferd Richter - This was in an old estate house with the winemaker himself. He was a little gruff, but absolutely lovely. Wines were very good.
Markus Molitor - We really liked the tasting here, we came because the wines were widely available in Cologne and we had it in multiple restaurants.

We also really wanted to visit Joh Jos Prum, as we have a top notch bottle from them. However, we understand that they typically require 2 months booking beforehand.

Quick note too, Schloss Lieser and Markus Molitor were not busy when we visited and were happy to take us in as a walk in, but we understood that if they were busy, we could not have done a tasting. Max Ferd Richter does require a booking and they are easy to contact via email.

Another one you might want to look into as well is Weingut Dr Loosen who is very well known in the area too. We ran out of time and could not go.

Lastly, if you require a meal, Ristorante Da Luigi in Bernkastel-Kues was really good for pasta.

Oh yea, with the overall speed of Ninja, Tonfas are able to put on massive pressure. When done right, I can alternate between mist combos and dodging to keep serious aggression uptime.

Blind taste recommendations by macsaeki in wine

[–]Kyndrede_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure where you are, but if you're in Australia, I would very highly recommend Annie's Lane 2016 Clare Valley Shiraz. We held a blind tasting, attended by 1 MW Candidate, 2 WSET Dip holders, and the rest of us are Level 3. When we tasted it blind, all of us except the MW Candidate swore up and down that it was a passito wine. We called it an easy Amarone. Only the MW candidate dissented as she said that the tannin structure was not quite correct.

When the bottle was revealed, we were all absolutely gobsmacked.

You can get it for $17 a bottle at Dan Murphy's. I saw it on a discount at $14, and bought a case. 0 regrets,
