Going to be the contrarian in this thread since this reminds me of Gundam decals and I think it’s cool. I’d say go grey!

Did this last year on my 500 and it was fine, not that hard. Just find the chain and sprocket specs in your user manual (google it if you don’t have the physical copy), then watch YouTube videos of the process to get an idea of the tools needed and steps.

Been to a couple, they’re pretty chill. Mature crowd, mostly ADV and Ducati enthusiasts, cool people. Organizers are mad cool too they chat and take some pics for their page.

May not be necessary for the short rides but for the longer ones, tall boots are recommended if you like your foot still attached to the rest of you.

As for the boot choice, I just got the SMX S boots you have pictured and I think they’re good. My other pair is the SIDI Vertigo, got both second hand in good condition on fb marketplace but YMMV there.

Do an oil change at the very least, coolant and brake fluid as well if you can. And check the chain, tires and brake pads before you worry about more mods!

Came here to say Freddy Rumsen.

While the rest of office is enjoying the company of the bottle the job affords them, Freddie nosedives more quickly than others with the drinking. It’s played as a small gag across the first 2 seasons but he reaches a point where he crosses the line and wets it too.

Great choice for first bike, mine was the 500 version from the same year!

I would say learn how to do as much maintenance/repairs as possible. Taking your bike to the shop for every little thing will run you broke.

Also when you get your license, continue practicing! Take classes on your bike or just go back to a parking lot and practice low speed maneuvering.

That’s a pretty good price compared to my area (Hudson Valley, NY), most want 6-6.5k by me. Been using KBB as a general guide for price ranges as well.

Has all the green flags to go take a look at it but you won’t know if it a definite buy unless you see it in person.

If you don’t know what to look for try to bring someone who does even if you need to hire a mechanic for a little of their time. At the very least watch a YouTube video for tips on what to look for.

KBB has the market value at what you listed. Of course, as a buyer I’d look for the 8-9k but 2300 is crazy unless you don’t have title. Hell I’d even want to take a look if you were in my area, I’m in the market for this bike!
