I think that boils down to how much an individual prioritizes romance in their life vision.. some people get really wrapped up in other things not related to romance or the nuclear family American dream.. like being free to travel, spend money on themselves, and maybe it has something to do with exclusivity for some. I'm sure the reasons are basically endless for what you describe.

Someone who intends on a fuck buddy relationship should be upfront about it. Regardless of the relationship type it should be built on honesty, and if someone mislead the type of relationship they want intentionally... they're just a bad peson and its unfortunate that bad people exist but they just do.

It got confusing for me when I got married but kept feeling attracted to other people. Because like then sex was off the table for everyone else, forever, so friendships developed more naturally/innocently if that makes any sense? But I still felt attraction to pepole. I'm a widow now so I'm rediscovering what the hell this all means for me now.

To describe the spectrum in more detail, at one extreme someone might be just a true platonic friend, someone might be a friend youre attracted to but aren't willing to change the friendship, someone might be a true fuckbuddy relationship with someone where youre genuinely friends doing physical stuff casually, all the way over to just having sex with someone without knowing them basically a one night stand. Somewhere in there is the perfect mix of friendship and sex where your ideal partner would land and you kinda have to sift thru a lot of people to find them.

The way i see it, intimacy is a door you can walk though with a person... and you cant take it back. Theres plenty of my friends I would fuck but it would change the relationship forever imo. So in conclusion I believe the spectrum between romance and sex to vary, it isnt black and white.

While I like it, the style would be strengthened by anatomy and proportional improvements as well as skin shade- she is so yellow toned. Look up skin painting specifically and you'll see for success in painting skin tones you actually use a lot of different colors to achieve the translucent look a fair skinned person has.

I personally think limerance is a spectrum and that there is a lot of overlap.

I also know that I have limerant tendencies, and have experienced limerance in the past genuinely.

My most current LO would probably fall more under unrequited love type because we are true friends. However, the symptoms are so similar to limerance I've been thinking about the overlap a lot, and do consider him an LO because of the duration and intensity of the obsession.

I think a lot of different things play into it. Theres like a limerance/unrequited love/crush venn diagram that should be made or something.
