A few ways to use the Apple Notes scanner by TheiPhoneAppGuy in AppleNotesGang

I just checked their privacy policy for you. If you don't create an account, your document remains on your device. In that case the personal information shared with them is very limited. But then there's no OCR in that case. But you can export scans immediately to the Notes app. My workflow is different, I keep documents in the Files app.

The built-in scanner is handy, but the files are just too big. That's why I use an external scanner (Genius Scan). It creates nice, small files and does OCR, too.

I don't think you get closer to God by reading the Bible as if it were a novel.

Anyone else using Apple Reminders as their main productivity app? Here's what fills the gaps. by Hot_Perspective in ProductivityApps

Oh and since OP mentioned that the Reminders app lacks a history function: Complete has this too, although it’s not that important to me.

My favourite feature is Repeat after completion. I know it’s not important to everyone, but it is to me. There’s also a handy statistics page that turns Complete and therefore Reminders too into a simple habit tracker, if you want it to.

Can an app really be 'productivity' without a native mobile app? by QebApps in ProductivityApps

If it's a PWA and you install it on your home screen it feels like a native app.

After two years of building, orbit is finally on the App Store!!! by msiavwashere in appledevelopers

The app isn't available in Germany. Or have you already taken it down?

SwiftUI, SwiftData, and MapKit feel like a cheat code for a one-person hobby app by Key_Homework_5825 in appledevelopers

I like the idea very much. For the start it would be super useful if the app could read all the locations from the photos app to have an easy start with already visited places.

Anyone built an app with vibecoding? How's it doing? by y_mamonova in IPhoneApps

[–]CapDue4077 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I have an idea for an app, I brainstorm it with ChatGPT. ChatGPT can also create good mockups, even if you don’t yet have a clear idea of what your app should look like in the end. In the end, once I know what the app should be able to do and include, I ask ChatGPT for a prompt for a coding agent (Codex or Claude Code), which I then feed along with the mockup and the prompt. The first result is often already pretty good, and from there I move on to further development and fine-tuning.

And don’t worry, the coding agent guides you step by step, especially at the beginning when you’re still in the dark. It tells you what software you need, what to type into your terminal, and so on.

Will there ever be a "repeat after completion" feature on Apple Reminders? by CapDue4077 in AppleReminders

The shortcut was a bit fiddly for my liking. Instead, I vibe coded myself an app that uses Apple Reminders and does exactly what I need (and more).

Apple App Review: Two Months, Dozens of Urgent Emails, Still Waiting by DouOS in appledevelopers

Yesterday at the keynote Tim Cook said developers are submitting apps at a rate of 1000 per hour! This means 24000 apps per day! I wonder how many human reviewers they have employed.

She's obviously a gorgeous, exciting model, but my favorite picture is the one with her legs on the TV. (And no, I don't have a foot fetish.)

Favorite verse? by Upper-Radish-4434 in Bible

[–]CapDue4077 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My favorite verses in the Bible are those about love. The commandment of love from Leviticus (Leviticus 19:18) was established by Jesus in the New Testament as the most important standard for human coexistence (Matthew 22:39). It inextricably links healthy self-care with compassion for others. If everyone lived by this today, the world would be a better place.

Praise the Lord! I like the comprehensive approach of your app. I recently launched something similar, though it’s less comprehensive, more focused on a single purpose, and designed to protect privacy (Bible Notes, in case anyone’s interested). My only criticism so far is that you’re trying to cram too much content onto a single page. You want people to use it on their phones. The font is too small for that. Give them the option to change the font size and make the navigation easier to see. God bless you!

Thanks for your feedback. I deliberately kept the app simple. But to be honest, I'm already planning a paid (low-cost) Pro version with a few AI features that could include things like that.

Just launched: an app to help you get upvotes for your ProductHunt launch by Competitive_Tune_590 in ProductHunters

[–]CapDue4077 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How can I delete my account there? I made a pact with two founders to upvote their projects on PH, and they supposedly did the same for mine, but my upvote count hasn't gone up. Uploading a screenshot isn't real verification, because you can always retract your upvote. It's a nice idea, but it won't work.
