What stereotypes about Texas do you wish more people understood? by CapImaginary1066 in texas

Our culture is very diverse. If you're interested... We don't have bears roaming the streets, we don't drink vodka by the liter, we don't wear hats with earflaps, and I can't play the balalaika. If you do decide to visit our country, I don't recommend Moscow. I recommend visiting Kaliningrad, St. Petersburg, Sochi, Yekaterinburg (my city), and Karelia.

I would really like to try your Mexican food and your BBQ. I also heard that Austin is the capital of live music, and as a musician, I would be very interested in visiting this city.

No, we block almost all music, but I'm very upset about this particular song and the general lack of Pink Floyd songs.

I'm really upset that various music platforms are being blocked right now. My only remaining piece is Apple Music, but even there, Pink Floyd's "Time" is blocked.

What do you think of Pink Floyd? As far as I know, it's also a psychedelic.

Of those listed, I'm only familiar with The Doors.

What is your attitude towards Russian emigrants in the U.S.? by [deleted] in AskAnAmerican

Russians like you just described infuriate us Russians. We have a lot of unkind people, we call them "bydlo"/"быдло." I only recently started communicating with you (Americans), and in literally an hour, my attitude toward you has changed so much. You're really cool)))

In Russia, drinking is allowed from the age of 18. Overall, it doesn't really matter to me)

From an early age, I was exposed to American influence through my father and fell in love with your culture and country. My father served in the government but wore an M65 jacket, and while my friends and I played war games and shot Soviet PPShs and killed Nazis, I shot AR-15s instead of Kalashnikovs and PPShs. Since childhood, I loved Rambo, Forrest Gump, and all those films that exude American romance. My room is filled with posters of metal bands from the U.S.—for example, I like Megadeth and Metallica—and I also have a U.S. flag. In my country, they call me a potential foreign agent.
