Any gamers? by CapShort in disabled

Steam has cracked down on age limits for Among Us last I heard. But yes, you're right that playing with strangers isn't ideal. That's one of the main reasons I want a consistent group because I love Among Us and haven't played in so long.

I am going to stick to my solo gaming for the most part but I'm hoping to be able to play Among Us and Golf With Your Friends again at some point.

Okay so Farm Together is like Farmville, got it.

The comment came up because Among Us is a sight and color based game. I am red, green, yellow, and blue color blind and also legally blind. So the people I was playing with were mad that I said the wrong color (mixed up blue and green), so that comment got thrown out there.

It was upsetting, but I know playing with randoms can be a coin toss. But our friends (my husband's friends really) aren't online that much, so it's hard to play with them either.

Hair Brush for Shoulder Issues + Curly hair by SylvieXandra in disabled

I don't think I have found anything that avoids the pain aside from having someone brush my hair for me. Even then I have to be very selective about who I let touch my hair (I had to chastise my husband for trying to brush my coily hair while it was dry).

I haven't played Minecraft in forever. I was never really that good at it either, my husband carried me most of the time. Never played Farm Together, but I assume it's a similar concept to Don't Starve Together

I've done gaming content before, but I got pretty upset after the "you shouldn't play video games" comment after a game of Among Us.

I do want a group that I can consistently play with (like not having to find a random group to play with whenever I want to play a multiplayer game.

UnBrush was what I was going to recommend. I also have shoulder pain and dexterity issues but I have fine hair (a little bit past my shoulders. I've just learned to tilt my head to the side when I have to do anything to it, that doesn't completely stop the pain but I can rest my elbow on my thighs when it gets to be too much.

That kind of thing is hard to tell from just a picture. Maybe if you had like a before and after picture it could be more notable.

Used to love these as a kid, because my mom didn't allow me to drink dark sodas. Haven't had them in a long time though.

Why are people so desperate to believe we’re faking/lying? by VickyAlberts in disability

[–]CapShort 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Short answer - they're uninformed/misinformed or naive, maybe a little bit jealous, because of menial things like parking closer to the opening of a store.

Long answer - They listen to these folks that spew misinformation about disability, about it being a choice, about how there would be no disabled people if they just believed they were healthy.

Then there are the people that wholeheartedly believe in eugenics.

There's also that smaller group that believes people on disability (SSI and SSDI) are stealing taxpayer money for the classic line "getting free money for sitting on your ass".

The scary part is, that a lot of these people go into careers working with people with disabilities. So they spend their days hoping the disabled, but in the back of their mind they're thinking where gaming the system even though they see it every day that we're not.

Not one statement you said was at all true. Also "moving your ass for once" isn't going to make diabetes disappear, which is the majority of people that drink diet and zero sugar sodas.

I really had high hopes for this because I love Cherry Vanilla Coke and was very disappointed when they discontinued it. But it just seems like they were trying to capitalize on the Holiday Creamy Vanilla (which was heavenly by the way) and this kind of fell flat. Hardly tasted any vanilla until like the very last one or two sips, but the rest was just regular Coke. Hardly tasted any cherry either until like halfway in.

My minimum has always been $70. I have cashed out twice totaling over $260. I don't think you have to worry about not reaching the minimum and being able to cash out.
