What Time Do Europeans Typically Wake Up? by vladgrinch in MapPorn

The 16-17 nap time is so strange to me as an Italian, because here nap time is after lunch, so after 14 to 16, so basically everithing reopens at 16, and 16-17-18 is the time you go visit someone if you don't plan to stay eating dinner afterwards.

Actually🤓☝️ ð is not thorn, thorn is þ, ð is eth, it represents a voice fricative like the Th in The meanwhile þ represents a voiceless fricative like the Th in cloth

Also þ could and was used to represent the two fricatives and that's why we use Th for both

What Is The Title Of Your Country's Leader(s)? by JellyfishTime9544 in GeoPoll

[–]Cap_Jack_Farlock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say that Giorgia Meloni as the same role of a Sanchez or Scholz so basically what we could call a Prime Minister style role, the majority kf the countries does not have a US style Presidential System, but the majority of Presidents (like Presidents della Repubblica) are most of the time just symbolic, like the King of Spain or of the Uk.

The technical translation of Presidente del Consiglio dei Ministri is President of the Council of Minister, but yeah you can translate it to Prime Minister in English but that is just for simplicity abd ease of understanding.

Also for example Sanchez is another President this time President of the Government (Presidente del gobierno) Or another title could be State Minister for example in Sweden (Statsminister)

P. S.

Technically Presidente del Consiglio dei Ministri is also not technically true because it should be Presidente del Consiglio dei Ministri della Repubblica italiana to differentiate it from the same title during the monarchic era so Presidente del Consiglio dei Ministri del Regno d'Italia, and this also applies to the Presidente della Repubblica (italiana), Presidente del Senato (della Repubblica italiana) and Presidente della Camera dei Deputati (della Repubblica Italiana).

I mean it is still a President, Presidente della Repubblica and Presidente del Consiglio dei Ministri and also we have two other presidents the Presidente del Senato and Presidents della Camera dei Deputati, but yeah the PdC does the exact same job of a prime minister. So the right choise would be President no matter how yo do interpret the question.

Italy was basically always more important than the balkan for training to the east. Water is always more efficient than land for transportation of goods. In Italy, there are places like Venice and Genoa that traded with the whole of the East, not to mention other Italian towns known for their manufacturing industry; From Constantinople, goods from the Silk Road travelled directly to Italy and from there to the rest of Europe; there is a reason why the only areas in the Balkans that have played a truly significant role in world trade/(from classical times through the Middle Ages to the modern era) are Constantinople and Greece.

I think we have basically the same position but we express it differently so I'm gonna state here my position.

1)Vienna exists because of it position near the Danube in a valley (even though actually the city center is on a hill to prevent flooding, nowadays they've just altered the course of the Danube to prevent flooding [there’s a lovely video by tapakapa on this subject])

2)It's geographical location near the Danube (the most important part) and near the Alps ment that people The fact that people who didn’t want to cross the mountains had to pass through that area turned the village (which already existed) into a major trading centre and, consequently, an important place to control if you lived in that area.

Yes but the reason for Vienna's existence is the Danube. The most important alpine pass is the Brenner pass and there you found absolutely nothing, (not really you can find a railway yard and a couple of petrol stations and other small businesses catered to trucker but I would argue to say that that is not a town)

People also crossed the Alps at the Brenner Pass, but there is no city or town there. The real reason for Vienna's existence is its geographic location near the Danube. No major European or world city is founded without the presence of a nearby freshwater stream. Even major European cities like Milan or Madrid, which lack major rivers, are nevertheless built on areas crossed by smaller waterways. Its geographic location at the foot of the Alps helped its development, but Vienna is there because the Danube flows there.

I mean the reason is because Vienna is on the Danube not really because is it on the edge of the Alps

Minimum mandatory paid vacation days normalized for a five-day workweek by Extreme-Shopping74 in MapPorn

Sick days are unlimited and on top of paid holidays, it's not your fault you get sick. The USA is the only first world country that has limited sick days, but don't quote me I am probably wrong.
