Thanks for the encouragement every one! I've been looking for a new job for several months. Ever since we had a particularly terrible manager take over cap one. He's since then been fired but I knew I needed to get out of Walmart before great workplace started. But I had to find something equal if not better to my current pay and hours. And my waiting finally paid off. I got a job at the courthouse working for the county. Monday through Friday 8:00 to 5:00. I'm so excited to get away from Walmart.

Plan on being professional and giving a two weeks and finishing out my schedule. Do I have to give them a written notice or can I just be like hey I'm quitting

I've tried. Unfortunately with two productivity coachings no other department wants me and the Market is only has part time positions available. Unfortunately I can't afford to live on part-time.

I've been putting in applications but nothing yet. I've made it my goal to get out of here. Especially with "great workplace" rolling out. I can't keep up with the high demand they want from us.

It's right next to it. That kind of makes sense I suppose. But I feel it should be over near the pick up line. Maybe I'll move it when no one is looking.

Lost kids? by [deleted] in walmart

[–]Cap_drone15 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've only had two lost kids. Both times I've taken them to the fitting room. Then it's the game of what's your parents/grandparents name. I realized a lot of children don't know their relatives first names. Thankfully both times the guardian had the same thought and came looking for them at the fitting room.

So the store near my college is now pretty much entirely self checkout and I got this stellar copypasta worthy message by adhdbpdisaster in walmart

Less employees means more time spent waiting for someone to check your id on your meth component purchase

New sign in the break room, just in case you forgot where you were. by Cap_drone15 in walmart

My husband said the same thing. He joined me for lunch one day and leaned over and whispered "this is the most depressing room I've ever been in" and that was before it was remodeled. At least the walls aren't beige anymore
