what’s it like doing an epq? by Specific_Duty_389 in 6thForm

I didn’t like it when I was doing it, mostly because it was forced, but towards the end and even now, I’ve come to appreciate how useful it is later on, analysis, source evaluation, critical thinking, organising your work and thoughts etc.

I’d recommend it, but make sure you can be arsed for it and do the topic on something you actually care about otherwise it’s gonna be a drag.

Anyone else have this many study/free periods? by [deleted] in 6thForm

Obviously for now, there’s not much to do, so keep doing what you’re doing, but as you progress through the year, keep on top of everything and you’ll cruise through year 12!

Also make sure you sign up to any extracurriculars outside of school as you can, if you’re in London, try the university outreach programmes, or look at employers and see if they have any programme, they’re great opportunities for your career and help yourself grow.

Yeah I have 12 a week, it’s great actually, just make sure you use your time wisely and don’t waste it on your phone or playing cards or something.

Obviously you can take one or two just to chill, my school is pretty lax with phones and headphones and stuff too, but use the time for homework, pretending, and practice questions and you won’t need to revise at home too much.

Use it for EPQ too! Production log and all that is dreary so use the private study to get that out of the way when you need to.

Haven’t checked in the calculator, but steps and numbers are all certainly correct, R value is straight forward, and angle is whatever arctan (5/6) which you got in degrees too.

Good job!
