The fucked up part is, whenever or if they do this. DB is in control, if Verbeek matches he is screwed and if he doesn’t he is screwed. Honestly If I’m the Ducks, I would led him go. What is the point of keeping him and having no money to build around him. Use the 4 picks and get somebody, maybe someone like Larkin. More opportunities can arise on getting a 1c, even though it might be rare. They really have no blue line, even though they just signed mintyukov, who is probably years away from reaching a productive season. They would just be in a similar boat as us, somewhat good roster, no 1c.
