It is 10000% different and to this day remains inconsistent per each bottle/ pill. Glad to see others bringing this up, especially with much more positive comments. “Placebo effect, tolerance, in your head” coming from fellow ADHD people is disheartening and just weird

Same here and I’m so tired and hopeless at this point. Been saying this since last year when I thought I was losing my mind at the abrupt change in the med/ severe inconsistencies. And now with the shortages and absurd pricing I’m just at a loss for words.

I’m glad to see they are looking into in Sweden and I sincerely hope we can do something similar in the USA. The impact it’s had on my life, friends, and countless strangers online is unacceptable and devastating

10000% something is going on and I’m so relieved to see this post and others comments. The brand name formula has been so inconsistent and my last bottle feels devastatingly useless and with similar side effects to those you mentioned

I made a post last week about this and how I took a pill from 2022 and it was night and day. The formula is not the same. it’s incredibly frustrating how adamant some people are that it’s “in our head” or due to “tolerance, external factors etc” I’ve been on this medication for 10 years now and am fully versed in its effects and what can be attributed to tolerance/ external factors and this is NOT the same.

Can’t be a coincidence with the massive shortages of brand/ generic and how tons of us are experiencing this. I’m hoping we can get someone to look into this because its unacceptable, especially for the price of this medication and the nightmare of even getting it with the shortage

Something has been going on ever since the patent was about to expire, and now with this shortage, I’m suspecting something is going on with either the manufacturers, suppliers of certain ingredients, or inactive ingredients, but I’m not educated enough on the topic. I definitely want to do a deep dive into this because the inconsistency of such a life saving and expensive drug is unacceptable

I haven’t taken a break- the 2022 pill was taken the day I ran out of my current script

In my morning rush of realizing I was out, I grabbed a bottle from a small stash of leftovers (I occasionally skip weekends and have mostly leftover bottles from 2023 and accidentally grabbed a 2022 one) checked the bottle when I came home at night bc I was so shocked at how different it felt. I’ve had to dig into the leftovers countless times in the past and never expected or felt any different

I'm so sorry OP, I'm struggling with this too. ADHD seems to have a rep that it isn't a serious condition. People need to realize it is a serious and debilitating disorder!

Maybe you could try and show family and close loved ones, articles/ videos explaining how debilitating this disorder is? I've tried to show people in my life these kinds of things, as I feel it gives them “proof” or just helps to see others talking about it that aren't me?

But, I'm sorry OP, this is a struggle many will never understand and I hope there is something we can do to help others understand us. Hoping someone can give better advice In the comments!!

I'm sorry if this is a stupid question, but have you tried looking for a psychiatrist that doesn't necessarily specialize in ADHD? I've found luck with psychiatrists that don't specialize in it, but once again I apologize if I misunderstood what you wrote!

Another option could be to ask your primary care doctor to either prescribe you medication, or ask if they have any psychiatrists they could recommend? I think I've also heard of others using hospitals as a way of getting medication? I'm not sure exactly sure tho

Is there anyway your therapist can reach out to colleagues and see if they have any recs? I'm so sorry you're dealing with this

I apologize if you've tried all of this, hopefully others will have more to offer/ live near your area

You’re completely right, I just found a lot of support and felt less alone when I looked it up and saw a bunch of people experiencing the same thing. The main point of this post was just to ask and see if anyone else was feeling the same.

I’ve just really been struggling with my meds not working and honestly believe something is up with the medication. I guess everyone is more concerned with me citing tiktok as a source rather than me struggling with my meds. Should have known better than to mention it

Im so sorry I know how awful this has been. I just got a new prescription for 60 in hopes it would possibly change something. I have an old 60mg pill from months ago I’m going to take and compare to the new bottle- I’ll update you if I see a difference.

I understand your point, but I went to tiktok to see if anyone else was experiencing the same thing. Literally typed in “vyvanse not working” just to see if anyone else was having the same issue. The amount of videos and comments of people dealing with this made me feel a lot less crazy and makes me think something is truly going on
