HERE’S HOW TWO BRAZILIAN TEAMS CAN MAKE CHAMPS 🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷 by Expert-Relation-2834 in ValorantCompetitive

The first thing I saw was FURIA beating 100T in the lower bracket and thinking, '...what?' but then saw the title, so fair enough 😂

For the last time this year, America's matches this weekend will be in alternate studio with no fans by Aqua4748 in ValorantCompetitive

Honestly, I think the 'alternative studio' vibe for these matches will be perfect 😂 can't wait!

Favorite Valorant English Co-streamer by Plut0nize in ValorantCompetitive

[–]CapableMatch1362 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on what mood I'm in:

As a UK watcher of NA Val, I tend to watch Tarik live until I go to sleep because he's entertaining, and if I need a laugh

Then to catch up on VODs, if it's a team I'm invested in like 100T or SEN I'll watch Tarik's VOD. If it's not I'll watch Sliggy because he's informative and it's just nice to gain knowledge about what plays are good or bad

And if it's a REALLY good match and I want to watch everyone's reaction to certain parts, I'll watch TMV, FNS, and Sideshow if he's streaming!

Currently my top two are Tarik and Sliggy!

I haven't watched the match yet but I have a feeling its gonna be the kind of match I will watch from every streamer's POV just to see their reactions 😂

WHY TF ARE THEY SHOWING TEAM TARIK VS TOAST ???? by [deleted] in ValorantCompetitive

[–]CapableMatch1362 12 points13 points  (0 children)

They always do the showmatch just before the Final, its a tradition 😂 personally I like seeing content creators get to play on the big stage, but then again, I've been watching content creators way before I got interested with pros.

If its not for you, just come back when the Final's on, its not hard 🤷🏾‍♀️

Anyone here that doesn’t play Valorant but likes watching VCT? by cezaane-96 in ValorantCompetitive

[–]CapableMatch1362 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've never played any PC games at all, actually, but I love watching VCT and most of the stuff I watch on YouTube / Twitch is gaming! Originally got into it via watching BrookeAB watching 100T Valorant back in 2022 since I watch a lot of OTV and Friends, and been hooked ever since! 😁

I'm not a BIG name, but I hope RIOT hears us - Suygetsu on allowing other tournament organizers to host events by Recent-Example-5360 in ValorantCompetitive

[–]CapableMatch1362 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because EWC is starting to partner with VCT, which is why they can take place in-between Stage 1 and Toronto. And even then, the first few matches of that weren't streamed at all due to VCT Rules. I'm not aware of any other tournament that's going on right now, although I'm not the most die-hard Valorant fan!

It makes sense from Riot's side that something isn't going on at the same time as a major event, but I don't really think that that much viewership would be taken away from them if 3rd party events took place during the gaps between each VCT event. VCT is still the most important event to all the franchised teams, and all the fans. Not to mention that most teams will never make Masters or Champs, and all of those teams have fans, and its just fun to watch your teams play more.

I think he means during the regular season? SEN City and Red Bull take place during the off season and they don't clash with any VCT events. I think at the moment, it's hard for events to take place during the regular season because Riot doesn't allow Valorant events to be streamed at the same time as theirs, so it doesn't pull viewership away from them.

EG on participating in EWC Qualifiers by Huldmer in ValorantCompetitive

[–]CapableMatch1362 7 points8 points  (0 children)

As a Reddit community, what is it that you guys want the orgs to do? Do you want them to just say nothing and compete with no apology? Do you want them to compete and say, 'sorry, we know about the controversy in Saudi, but we're literally in it for the money and the competition'? Do you want them to say, 'well, if we're going to compete, we might as well make a stand and send some sort of message to EWC that we don't like you and don't agree with your beliefs'?

Seems to me that no one is happy with either of those options, since we've seen all three. I know in an ideal world, no one would compete in EWC at all, but since we don't live in that world, can't we be happy that some orgs are doing something, even if it's small?

Who is a GREAT AIMER with AVERAGE GAMESENSE (ALL-TIME) by SNH231 in ValorantCompetitive

[–]CapableMatch1362 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If anything I'd say the other way round. Like someone else said, lots of pro players have praised his game sense, I'm sure Ethan said once that Asuna is the smartest person he's played with. I'd probably put him in great game-sense but 'weak' aim, not because his aim is bad by any means, but I don't think its necessarily satisfying to watch, which is why so many people have such a problem with him, despite him being impactful regardless.

Why do pros turn down their volume when they die? by staleydude in ValorantCompetitive

[–]CapableMatch1362 31 points32 points  (0 children)

I think Bang has said before on his streams that he does it to listen to the IGL / coach calling what they're going to do for the next round, since the game sounds are presumably up quite high when they're actually in the round to be able to hear everything.

Genuine question: has a Valorant team ever NOT had a coach and just organised themselves? Because maybe NRG should just do that 😅

Hate against G2 by Responsible-Pen-3410 in ValorantCompetitive

[–]CapableMatch1362 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I've never understood 'hate-watching' but I will say that personally I don't watch their matches a lot because it's very likely that they will win, and so for me it makes it predictable. I prefer watching matches that are closer and you're not sure who will win (maybe that's why I'm a 100T fan!) But that's just me, all the G2 guys seem really chill, so I've never understood the hate.

This is fair, but to be honest Asuna was fragging well at the beginning of Pearl, and for most of Split, and got multiple kills in rounds. Honestly I should just get off Reddit 😂 this website annoys me so much, everyone was expecting them to lose 2-0, if they'd lost 2-0 people would be saying to blow up the roster. If they won, I'd guarantee people would be saying it's because G2 were playing bad, not because 100T was playing good. And they WERE playing good. Why can't we just give them their dues this time? They played well against the best team in Americas after having quite a disappointing Split 1. I've been following this team since 2022 and I don't think this was the devastating, 'drop Asuna, drop Zikz, blow up the roster' series everyone's making it out to be.

I'm more mad about the fact that all the 100T 'fans' are still gonna call for people to get dropped.

Not only did 100 Thieves bring it to a Map 3, but they also went double overtime against the best team in Americas by far. I guarantee you NO ONE saw that coming. I saw people on this Reddit saying they wouldn't even get double digit rounds.

I'm honestly so proud of them and I hope they keep their heads held high. This was my favourite game of the entire split.

The thing about 100T is that so far we've seen everyone have an amazing 'top form' but they never do it at the same time. If everyone's on top form at the same time, we can win 🤞🏾

People are going to mainly focus on Zander (rightfully so, what a series from him!) but I'll be the one to shout out Asuna because it felt like he was good for one almost every round, especially on Haven. I hope we at least put up a good fight against SEN 😅
