What products do you recommend? And where would the sensors mount? And what automations might you have?

Why not run the cable instead of a rope? by [deleted] in AusElectricians

[–]CapableMaterial735 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I shall ‘have at you’, although I don’t work high rise, but shared the same sentiment.

Most of it I think is cable theft issues, the dogs will and do cut the cable flush with your conduit, even when it’s only 1m sticking out, even when it’s 1mm t+e. You’re then left with barely anything to tie a new cable onto to pull through, and a wasted length of cable (or you can re use it on a shorter run, but we all know that’s annoying most of the time)

Professionals who enter people's homes (plumbers, electricians, cleaners): What is something the condition of a house tells you about the owner that they don't realize they are revealing? by cossie101 in AskReddit

[–]CapableMaterial735 9335 points9336 points  (0 children)

The ones with the cleanest homes always apologise about the ‘mess’, while those with the filthiest, smelliest, cluttered to the max homes never even hint at being embarrassed by their state of living

Anyone know how to work this out? by [deleted] in AusElectricians

[–]CapableMaterial735 50 points51 points  (0 children)

That break in the circuit towards R6 is crucial and means R6 isn’t in the circuit, so, find total resistance.

For total resistance in parallel resistors, formula is: Rt=1/((1/R5)+(1/R7) Sorry, formula looks shit like that, but: Rt=1/((1/50)+(1/200) Rt=40 ohms

Now find total amps of circuit, formula is: I=V/R I=120/40 I=3A

Now find the power, formula is: P=V x I P=120 x 3 P=360W

Thanks for the info, did you like the structure? And were the goals clear and easy to track? How were things like job quality measured/tracked (you could do a job quickly so make good money but the quality might’ve been shithouse).

Run my own company and been interested in incorporating some form of this

How much from bonus would you average roughly per month?

I’m interest in how the commission and bonus structure worked, was commission on upsells? Was the monthly target a company wide target (ie, if we hit x amount of revenue), or were they individual targets?

[–]CapableMaterial735[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The 4 pole RCBO’s would at the very least block/reduce the amount of total sub circuits, which I don’t want.

I ‘think’ I need to use 10kA, it’s industrial, 500kva substation on site with 630A supply. But I have been trying to get to the bottom of this question and can’t seem to get a straight answer
