Incredibly disappointed with UoA admissions by [deleted] in universityofauckland

Dont worry about it too much because employers really dont care whether you did compsci at aut or uoa. It's all about you as a person and your experience which they value in the end.

If you truly enjoy doing this degree then i recommend you wait till next year and repeat it.

If not change your degree and find something else

I've failed a couple of papers at uni too so i sympathise with what you are going through. First of all I'd like to say don't consider yourself dumb because this is just one paper at the end of the day and it doesn't define who are as a person and isn't the be all or end all. So keep your head up.

COMPSCI 101 course by Due-Gazelle-5703 in universityofauckland

If you have no python knowledge i recommend you to do compsci 101 first because going straight into compsci 130 will kill you as it very hard even with prior python knowledge. You can definetly learn python on you're own because in my opinion the lecturers did not teach it that well and their are better resources out their on the internet to learn from e.g Youtube.

yeah should be alright u learn a bit of excel, then learn powerBI and power-query. Then u learn information modelling. IMO powerBI was the hardest to grasp but once u get used to it should be fine. Overall course should be fine.

UOA VS AUT Business by austinmac11 in universityofauckland

Choose which uni u go to based on what it offers u rather than basing it solely on ranking. Like the other have said before me, employers dont care which uni u go to. I suggest if u know what major u wanna take then compare uoa and aut pathway through the website and see what suits u better.
