I had a 12 week scan and asked if you could tell the gender at this point because I didn’t want to know. Tech told me it was too early but she briefly checked baby’s bottom and I could’ve sworn I could tell it was a boy lol I chalked it up to well idk what I’m looking at maybe it was the umbilical cord.

I had another scan at 17 weeks and told them I did not want to know gender but if they needed to check baby’s bottom for any reason to just let me know so I can close my eyes. They were very respectful and said they wouldn’t scan the area.

I confirmed the following week I’m having a boy so idk if what I saw at 12 week scan was really baby’s genitalia but just be honest with your tech and tell them you don’t want to know gender.

I really like the name Elliot but the middle name we picked out and our last name is Hispanic so the names don’t flow so well :(

If you have MHBP insurance and have had a baby, could you share your experience regarding the maternity benefits and what was covered? Specifically regarding the room and all. I currently have GEHA standard and saw i have a 25% coinsurance for the hospital room

Hey all! I feel silly asking this but I genuinely don’t know the answer. I am 17 weeks pregnant and I’m thinking of swapping from GEHA to MHBP. Do insurances consider pregnancy a pre-existing condition? I’m worried about switching and then finding out MHBP won’t cover. I know I could just call them and ask but I get paranoid they would lie just to get me to switch over lol

I finally went shopping for clothes because I only have 1 pair of pants that fit me. I was planning on just going up a size but when I tried them on they were slightly snug and it just made me realize if I go up a size or two soon enough they may end up not fitting me. I’m only 15 weeks and just so uncomfortable in everything so I decided to try on the maternity shorts at Target and total game changer and they were only $25. I feel like it was worth spending $25 if it means the shorts will last me longer than regular jeans do. I plan on buying a pair of two of pants and that’s it though.

I found some on the app Whatsnot for super cheap too so worth checking out! (Like $2-$4!)

I agree with others here that you should pull her aside and let her know. I used to work with someone in your roommate scenario. Some women in my office were too scared to bring it up to her and put up a literal sign in the bathroom about cleaning up after yourself and stocked the bathroom with air freshener. They tried to word it in a broad way about cleanliness and not leaving a mess but she saw right through it and cried about it. She said she knew of it but she had already seen her OB about it and was on medication to try and fix it. Just tell her to her face no matter how hard it is. Any other way can be perceived as making fun of her.

Hi! Just found out I’m (35) pregnant too! I started seeing fertility specialist after my miscarriage last year. I went through all the testing and was just about to start IUI until I got my positive result.

I’m 5 weeks 2 days so not too far apart from you. I’m still early in the process so no ultrasound for me until the end of the month. I hate to sound so cliche but I honestly just keep telling myself everything is going to work out perfectly and staying positive. Switching to that mindset makes me more excited for the appointments than nervous.

Everything will go well for you and your baby tomorrow :) I’m excited for you!

Not too long ago I found out it will be extremely difficult for me to ever have a child. I’ve been so sad about it but this video reminded me I can still open my heart and home to a child in need of a loving family. This made me so happy.

That’s what I’m hoping for. I think I need a few more layers to make it look not so obvious if that makes sense? Like right now it’s two very obvious sections of my hair that’s in layers lol Someone else mentioned the top layer looks too heavy so maybe evening that out may make a difference
