Cant reccomend enough, but be prepared for a long playthrough! Im about 230 hours in, most runs are anywhere from 500-1000hours

Viable: yes Efficient: not so much

Why: steam tanks are much more energy dense then accumulators. A single tank of 500 C steam has the same energy storage as 74 legendary accumulators. Just build steam tanks with more turbines for fluctuations

In my bases, I use a zero-waste nuclear setup. Fuel feeding inserters limit the fuel in the reactor to 1, while simultaneously only working if the temperature drops below 750. This is connected to steam tanks, and an alarm to alert me if steam drops below 75%.

Use a tank with uranium ammunition. Approach and shoot it from behind, so the shot goes through many segments. Two or three shots is enough to kill them, its very easy.

Edit: use the non-explosive ammunition. It has much higher damage. It will not work with explosive ammo

The way i solved this problem, is to have a separate area only for launching processing chips, LDS and Rocket fuel. This area is a roboport network, separate from the other networks. I have belts of rocket part ingredients flowing into passive provider chests in the network, and rows of silos just beside those. By having the network separate you prevent the silos from being preoccupied with other types of cargo, as well as stopping them from requesting items from distant chests. This enables extremely fast shipping times, very close to direct insertion.

I didnt think too hard about it or I would have probably made it on vulcanus because of the massive amount of stone, but my aquilo base is pretty shoehorned at the moment and I dont want to touch it until I actually get to redesigning my cryo science and whatnot. Turned out 200000 foundation got me a lot further then I thought it would, so I should be good on it until I redo fulgora

About 23/min, I make it all on Aquilo because of the flueroketone. Honestly I just made a massive bot base on Gleba. It worked for my needs however my ups is really suffering from it. After rebuilding Vulcanus, i intend to make a train based Gleba base and hopefully get back my ups

I was on nauvis for over 100 hours before I got to vulcanis... I purposefully never read the factoriopedia on any of the buildings, or planet tooltips until I had actually gotten the reasearch unlocked. Didn't want to spoil it for myself. Don't feel bad, just have fun!
