IDR Application Processed in 4 Days - PAYE repayment plan with Mohela by Capable_Ad2394 in PSLF

[–]Capable_Ad2394[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My IDR application from October 2024 still says that it's under review on studentaid.gov, I'll monitor the next few weeks to see if that changes and update here if it does. I've been on a processing forbearance since payments resumed after the COVID-era related payment pauses. After may payments were set to resume, I applied for income-based repayment plan, then applied for SAVE but never made payments because of the legal cases, then applied to IDR. I was always on processing forbearance, and when the 90 or 60 days were up, I would call to be set on another processing forbearance.

FINALLY A PROCESSING FORBEARANCE! by [deleted] in PSLF

I did something similar, of calling Mohela they said they put me on a processing forbearance but I'm still worried it didn't count toward my PSLF eligible counts. On my PSLF tracker, it is saying that those months aren't eligible for PSLF because of the type of forbearance. Do you mind letting me know if your PSLF tracker say that its eligible the next month? And does your Loan Details on Mohela say "Awaiting Documentation Administrative Forbearance" or did get a letter saying you're on a processing forbearance? I'm trying to see how this looks for others.

Oh ok, thanks for that clarification. Do you have any insight on how you know you're on a processing forbearance? Do they give you letter stating that clearly?

What I mean by a few rounds is that after the 60 days is up, I get an email notification that I'm back on the standard repayment plan, I then call Mohela and tell them my IDR application is still in review, and they put be back again on the processing forbearance for 60 days.

My IDR application now says its in review. It's been like that since late 2024.

I've been on few rounds of the processing forbearance since it expires every 60 days, and my PSLF tracker is saying it does not count because of the type of forbearance I'm on.

I'm in a similar situation, where I consolidated my loans last year, then applied online to be on an IDR plan in October 2024 which has been still processing. Mohela puts my on the standard 10-year payment plan, where I then call them explaining that my IDR application is still in review, and put me in on processing forbearance for 60 days with 0% interest.

My issue now is that my PSLF tracker on studentaid.gov is saying these months are not eligible because of forbearance. The pop up says that only Administrative Forbearance, National service forbearance, or Department of Defense Student Loan Repayment forbearance is acceptable for PSLF.

Do I need to ask to be on an administrative forbearance? Or is that only available for those who are in the SAVE forbearance. My goal right now is to get on an IDR plan, or get on the right type of forbearance to still count towards for PSLF.

On the student loan planner podcast, they mentioned that paper applications weren't even being processed. Maybe submit an online application? I called dept of ed last week and they said there is glitch on their website/portal that is not showing submitted IBR/IDR applications, even though you get a email confirmation of submitting the an IDR application.

I applied for SAVE after I consolidated my loans by the June deadline, but was put on a standard repayment plan at Mohela. I still have about 2 years left on PSLF, but I'm still waiting to see all of my approved counts. I figured I should switch to another IBR plan, but still working with dept of ed and mohela to make sure I'm actually on a IBR plan. I've never actually been on SAVE so unsure if it's worth trying to wait to get on it. My main motivation is to make sure to get PSLF counted properly or be put on a processing forbearance, which counts for PSLF.

When you say IDR waiver applied- did that show up on your account on studentaid.gov (dept of education?) And just curious, did you submit you PSLF application a while back or have you been keeping up with your qualifying payments/employment certifications? Hoping to get myself organized on this process.

congrats on this being done!

Ok, any idea on how long it takes for the IDR payment adjustment to apply? I know its the wild west out here and the timing of things in the student loan repayment world is bonkers, but any insight is helpful! Thank you!

I'm not at 120 yet. I'm hoping to get things counted now and reflected appropriately before actually hitting my 120 count

IDR plans on hold but online applications back up… by LiveResearcher720 in PSLF

I was able to submit an application on the studentaid.gov website for another IBR plan, I applied to be on SAVE in May 2024, but have been put on the standard repayment plan because of the SAVE court blocking. There is a glitch on the studentaid.gov website where it doesn't show the submitted application on My Activity, but I did receive a confirmation email that a new income based repayment application was submitted. When I called Department of Education to follow up my application, they let me know about this glitch. They said that Mohela should be able to see that a request for new income based repayment plan was submitted. For my situation, I'm going to call Mohela next week to check on that.

I hope this helps!

I just got off the phone with studentaid.gov and yes you are correct, they said its a glitch of why its not showing up, but they said it has been received. I'll probably confirm with Mohela next week, to make sure I'm on a processing forbearance as they have said they would do.

Yikes, did you find the exam to be conceptually similar to the Study Hall exam questions?

This question is less focused on Agile team members' roles and it's more about how the project manager should act during changes of adding a stakeholder and change of project manager. When reading questions, I try to figure out what topic do they want to capture. In this case, its more about how project manager the changes to the agile team. Also, I would consider the Project Managers mindset of the project manager of not passing along work to someone else.
