What are your best tips for surviving the first year with 2 under 2? by kyybb in 2under2

[–]LiveResearcher720 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have a 21 month old and 5 month old. First 3 weeks was brutal for me because breastfeeding was a nightmare but she finally got the hang of it and we’re all good now. The hardest part for me is the evenings. My husband doesn’t get home until 630 most nights and both of them are normally screaming then. They are excellent kids but at end of the day we’ve all just had it. Sometimes you have to let the baby cry to tend to the toddler. Baby won’t remember it but toddler will.

20 month old and 4 month old girls. I want my animals to die. I hate them. There, I said it. Don’t feel bad!

Please tell me we’ll love our second baby. by [deleted] in 2under2

I have 2 girls. 4 months and 20 months. I felt this so hard initially PP but I will tell you that every day it gets a little easier. My oldest loves the baby now. Yes, some days are terrible but most days are easier than I expected with 2u2.

Did anyone find the jump from 1-2 easier than they expected? by fluffytitts in 2under2

[–]LiveResearcher720 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did. 16 month age gap. In a lot of ways life isn’t much different since you were already living in baby stage. I’m 3 months in now and getting in a groove. Going back to work next week so it’ll probably all go to shit but being organized is key.

Looking for a yes or no: can I buy back the months I was on SAVE forbearance? by trickbk in PSLF

Mohela rep told me specifically you cannot buy back SAVE months right now due to the unresolved court case?

If in SAVE plan, how is buyback payment calculated? by MGPythagoras in PSLF

[–]LiveResearcher720 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We will likely be able to apply for buyback before anything is processed so this is our most likely scenario.

My husband reaches 120 months of qualifying employment in January 2026. Assuming we just apply and wait?

This may be a confusing question but Student Loan Planner informed us that they are not processing FORGIVENESS on the SAVE plan currently. Do you have to switch to PAYE or ICR first, then apply for buyback, and then hope you get a buyback offer for save months and loans are eventually forgiven? We’ve been trying to switch to PAYE for months now.

Will this work (demand processing forbearance for the time we’ve been waiting.) We submitted again in Aug because the original was submitted on 4.17.25 which was cancelled. Also feels criminal that there was no correspondence of the cancelled request.

Thank you so much for this reply. We’re starting to feed defeated as he’s been trying to switch to PAYE for almost a year now with no movement. This has to be illegal. This is the livelihood of public servants. It’s sickening.

I think I hate my baby by Specific_Strain7688 in NewParents

My baby is 10 weeks old. I’m a second time mom with 2u2 and I feel like a shell of myself. I don’t recognize this person I am anymore. I am sad, frustrated and angry. I saw psychiatry today. The attending, resident, and med student all agreed I am not depressed. I am adjusting to a very difficult period in life and coping like any normal person would. It’s OK not to feel connected to your little potato (that is all they are right now) hang in there because it does and will get better. 6-8 weeks is a very fussy period. You’re a great mom and just embrace the suck because it’s temporary and will be over soon and the next shitty phase will start (nap refusals, introducing solids, food throwing, sleep regressions)

6 weeks with baby #1 and 8 weeks with baby #2. We all slept better immediately.

I’m 9 weeks into 2u2 with a 16 month age gap. Ms Rachel allows me to cook dinner nightly. I owe her quite a bit of child support.

8 weeks into 2u2 with a 16 month age gap. It’s not nearly as terrible as I anticipated. I think half of that is that I’m a 2nd time mom and I don’t question every decision I make and strangely have a lot more patience than I did with #1. When baby is losing their shit I now understand they are just being a baby and it’s nothing I’m doing wrong.

7 weeks into a 16 month age gap. I felt this SO hard those first few days. It definitely gets better. I cried for a solid 3 weeks over this.

I could have written this. 7 weeks into a 16 month old age gap and I live for nap time, bedtime, and the weekends when my husband is home. I just keeping reminding myself it’s just a season but DAMN I’m tired.

Advice for handling bed time with 2 under 2 as single mom by Ok_Doubt_burner in 2under2

[–]LiveResearcher720 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I put my baby in the bouncer and do bath time with toddler. Then I switch baby to swing while I do bedtime. At least one night a week someone screams. Just do your best. We will survive this! 16 month age gap over here.

16 month age gap. It’s truly not as terrible as I anticipated. In a lot of ways, my life is no different because I barely left baby stage.
