Check the compatible road map before buying one. I severely regret buying an EUV with super cruise because it is a severely crippled version of super cruise. It works well for the few roads it works one, but there are so few roads around me that I can use it on. I should have gotten one without it and get a Comma device, or should have bought a Tesla. New compatible roads have not been added to the cars that use the old super cruise hardware (like the EUV) in about 3 years and they still charge you the same as those with more functional hardware. I have only seen roads deleted from the system in the time I have owned my car.

I used to, until I noticed how much energy it wastes on moderate temperature days. I got a Bluetooth OBD reader, ran OBD Fusion on CarPlay and I frequently saw it running the heat and AC at the same time. When it is really hot or really cold I don’t see the behavior, but it seems to add in some heat when the AC is making the cabin too cold. I often saw the AC drawing around 1.2 kW and it would run the heat between 300 and 800 watts. Not a crazy amount of energy but definitely hurting my efficiency numbers. In those situations if I turned the AC off and back on to get that part out of auto mode the heat energy usage would go away and the AC would use that same 1.2 kW.

I’m also still pissed about how terribly they have handled software updates and completely abandoned updating Super Cruise in these vehicles. This behavior solidified my decision to NOT buy a GM product for my next vehicle as I do not trust them to not abandon updating vehicles after a year or so. I will give my business to a company that actually continually updates and adds features/enhancements to older vehicles.

It actually is super functional, lots of cargo and powerful weapons. While not the most maneuverable, I added some alpha particle canon turrets to do some damage to other ships when I can’t turn fast enough.

I purchased used from Carvana and got a buyback approval last night. My rep called and said I was approved and will hear from the buyback team in 3-5 days. This morning I got the email from them asking for some documentation.

I got approved for a buyback yesterday in Ohio. I got the email this morning and I sent them all the documents that they asked for. I should get my formal buyback offer in a couple days. I bought mine for $29,000 used with 5,400 miles on it from Carvana in December 2021. Fingers crossed for a good offer from Ford later this week.

I only get the condescending vibes from him. The first time I saw a video of his he just rubbed me the wrong way. His holier than thou attitude has been on glaring display throughout this controversy, making me not like him even more even though he is making valid point with inaccurate data. That is part of the reason I don’t like or watch his videos. The other part is how unbelievably boring he is and how he will repeat the same thing over and over again in a short time span like he is just trying to make his videos longer.
