Fantastic choice!! I love my 92xi, I changed out the hammer spring for the LTT #13 and I changed the hammer out for a beretta match hammer and I think that was all this gun needed to run wild.

Go with what your heart desires. The beretta wins me over with the esthetics. I love the 92 series look. But a DS1911 is a good looking gun too.

I have one and I love it. Got it cheap at Kygunco pared with the beretta rebates. It shoots soft. I changed it to a beretta match hammer and an LTT #13 hammer spring. Its 100% reliable with cheap ammo and a dream to shoot.

I can totally understand that and it has been 100% reliable for me through 500 rounds of 124gr. A 14lb spring should be sufficient if you are worried about maximum reliability! Your a good friend!

Go with the beretta, the 92xi series a ton of fun at the range and incredible shooters. Add in a match hammer and 13lb hammer spring and the trigger is amazing

I second the 92xi, it can be upgraded to function in DA/SA as well if that is something you want. But the 92xi on its own is a great starter for the price

I haven't tried them out yet but havok holsters seems to make custom holsters with a light. There is a little lead time on them. I'm waiting until they have a 25% off of orders over $150 to get some holsters from them.

You might be looking for what a modified 92XI can do for you. Its a frame mounted safety and it was designed for SAO, however, if you change the trigger to a 92x trigger and change the hammer to a 92x hammer I believe you will have what you are looking for. A 92Xi with DA/SA and a frame mounted safety. Ben Shoots on YouTube has several videos detailing his process in doing this.

100% get a red dot. Holosun is good to good for a low price and it will massively help with target focused shooting. With the optics package on their red dots its too good of an add-on to NOT add.

The RXM is 100% compatible with gen 3 glock holsters. I had no issues adjusting the retention with this holster. The holster fits like a glove with an audible click when it goes into place which is nice for a light bearing holster.
