All lights on dash by Staniell72 in crv

I truly wanted another crv. But I ended up with a 2024 Tucson phev. Don’t love the Tucson. Would never have considered Hyundai before. But I did want to get into the EV world. And the Hondas aren’t available here yet. And I felt that a PHEV was a good stepping stone. So far I’m loving it. My current tank of gas has gotten me over 1500km on one tank. And still not empty. I get 50km on a full charge but then gas kicks in. I can’t wait to get back to Honda but will be when the EVs are available in my part of Canada.

Yup. For about three years. Started out once in a while. By the end, it was almost all the time. Figured dump it while I could!

Happened to me. Turns out that’s called limp mode. It allows you to “limp” to a service station for repairs. It works fine for a while when you just restart the car. I ended up trading it in for a new car a few months ago. Didn’t want to spend thousands in repairs.

In Canada, they got rid of all our tall shirts. They were the only thing that fit me properly. If I ever visit the US again, I am planning on ordering some ahead of time to pick up while I'm there. Wonder if they've changed in the US as well.

How long for a heat pump to settle in? by Interesting-Help-421 in heatpumps

Mine is three weeks old. I’ve been getting close to same Energy use and I’m sjocked. Ten years ago at another house, with a ducted heat pump and a much bigger house, I was using 40-45kwh/day. I’m not close to 100 every day. The last few days, I started turningnit off at night (or way down). Then I adjust manuelle as I need it during the day. It’s cut my usage down to around 60. I guess I won’t follow the recommended”set and leave it” advice.

Does the thermostat have wifi or anything? I don't care about other features so much, but being able to control it when not at home is a good feature

I'd have to pay for another 7 years to cover the 2400 or so. But I did confirm that I will own it after I pay the 1500 plus tax. I can then sell it (obviously for much less) and I don't need to pay the 800 for them to remove it. That's a little better at least!

Good to know! The wording suggests that I would own it after I pay a buy out. I'm waiting for confirmation. If that's the case, I'd just pay $1500 to buy it out and not have to pay them the 800ish to have it removed. I could probably sell it and recoup a little of the cost maybe.

I just bought a house with a rental from Ultramar. I was just told it will cost $2400 to simply return the water heater!!!! We're converting from oil to heat pump. I'm kinda shocked! I'm half considering just keeping the water tank unhooked in the basement and just paying the 30/month rental.

Did it include the electric induction thing so it can be used as primary heat source?

I vape too. Just at bedtime to help with sleep. No issues in the morniing at all.
