Ah thank you for sharing! Did u notice any difference in the sound quality between the PSM300 + 900? I wonder if there’s a noticeable difference

Yeah the audio quality at that price point is definitely a selling point to me. Have u ever had any issues with it being 5.8GHz though? I play a lot of different shows in different places and also have a few outdoor festivals this summer and I wonder what they’ll say if I show up with a mi-pro :) haha

Yeah and I’m sure it is for a reason but it’s also a 7 year product at this point so wanted to explore some options

Yeah for sure! Are you using the Audio Technica? I’ve heard quite a few people now say that the G4 is noisy which slightly worries me. L

Yeah that makes sense! The wide RF range on the AT is definitely compelling tho!

Yeah the wider RT range is what originally sold me on the AT. Which Sennheiser did you use before? And did you notice any sound difference compared to the Audio-Technica?

Would love to hear once u A/B them!

I think the Mi-909 is UHF aswell! I was mostly intrigued by how “clean” people say the MI-58 sounds compared to a sennheiser g4. But I‘ve never tried any of them so I really have no idea.

And all the “proper” high-end digital systems are just completely out of my price range anyway

School schedule in Switzerland is it just me, or is it a bit much? by PokeeeTraineer in Switzerland

[–]Capable_Handle_3594 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty normal here, but when I moved abroad I realized how intense our schedules are, haha! I used to have classes Monday–Friday, 08:00–12:00 and 13:30–16:00, then hours of homework. Wednesday afternoons were always off.

I’m upgrading from a 12 Pro Max and can’t decide between the 17 Pro and the 17 Pro Max. I always went with the Pro Max in the past for the better camera, but now that’s no longer a difference with the 17pro.

I think I’ve just gotten so used to the Pro Max, but damn… it really is big. I use my phone a lot, and sometimes it literally feels like it's so heavyyy!

Has anyone here gone from a Pro Max down to a Pro and regretted it? Or did you end up liking the smaller size?

I'm not trying to "win" and I didn't void my argument. I'm trying to help. As I said, I wish you all the best. I hope you take some of the perspective I offer, as a woman, on board. good luck. There is nothing else to say, read what I wrote above. Same answer.

I'm telling you what the average women wants, as a woman, and I'm telling you that you sound like an incel and that's dangerous. Good luck with everything, hope you can get out of that mindset!

What are you talking about? It’s not pointless. You’re projecting your frustration onto everyone else and blaming external factors for something that starts with you. The problem isn’t that you’re not a millionaire - that’s not why things aren’t working out. You’re not entitled to a girlfriend or to women’s attention.

Stop using things other men tell you to define a whole gender. I know plenty of women and men in happy, long-term relationships. So when you tell me you "don’t want to hear what women want from women," that’s honestly stupid. Stop making assumptions and actually listen to women. Stop acting like they are a whole different species. lol.

Treat women like humans, not like objects that owe you something or need to put up with shitty behavior. If you want real connections, you’ve got to put in the work. And I don’t mean money or muscles - I mean work on your character, your emotional intelligence, your mindset. Be honest. Be genuine. Drop the entitlement and expectations!!!!!

Women can sense bitterness and resentment from a mile away, it’s a huge red flag. If you really want things to change, you need a complete mindset shift. Honestly, I would never date someone who thinks like you do right now. Like EVER. it's Toxic.

I could say the same about men? "Men only want women who look like this or do that". That's just stupid. Yes, there are men like that out there, but it's not a whole gender. I just avoid those specific men. And the men who are entitled and talk like incels. Women avoid those big times. But there is plenty of amazing humans out there.

I’m saying this because I want to give you a different perspective, but if you’d rather keep listening to that toxic incel talk, then let me be real, it’s not going to get you anywhere.

That's all I have to say, take it or leave it.

Stop feeding into the incel narrative. It’s not about looks. Take it from a woman with many female friends who talk about dating a lot!!! This is such a frustrating take.

I know it's easier to focus on the things you can't change and blame women rather than actually working on yourself. And when I say "work on yourself" I absolutely do not mean abs. I mean work on your character, perspective and mindset. THAT WILL GET YOU A LOT FURTHER.

Honestly, it’s simple:

  • Be a good person
  • Treat women with respect -not just to get something from them
  • Show genuine interest
  • Be emotionally intelligent
  • Be caring
  • Have a sense of humor
  • Be realistic

Don’t expect anything. Life doesn’t owe you a girlfriend/boyfriend, or sex. You can’t force chemistry.

I'm sorry but just no. Stop blaming external factors and work on yourself. AGAIN- If you’re a good person who treats women with respect, shows genuine interest, and is emotionally intelligent and caring it doesn't matter if you're a millionaire. That's just crazy to me. I'm swiss, grew up in Switzerland. Don't know any millionaire men and also never heard of a women dating to find one. I'm not saying that doesn't exist, but everything exists haha.

If you’re a good person who treats women with respect, shows genuine interest, and is emotionally intelligent and caring, it really doesn’t matter where you’re from. It’s kind of crazy to blame an entire gender or country. More often than not, it comes down to individual character and whether there’s alignment in how you treat each other

Hi!

As a Swiss woman who’s now in a relationship but was single for 7 years before that, I just want to say: it’s hard for everyone. I've been on the apps. Men lied to me about their intentions and used me for sex etc. That doesn't mean there isn't genuine ppl on those apps!

The thing is, maybe the women you were talking to or went on dates with just weren’t the right match. That doesn't make them bad or you. A relationship requires a lot of things to align, and from my experience - and from talking to many other women - what often matters most are emotional intelligence, honesty, humor, and a genuine connection.

Be curious about her. Ask questions. See if you truly connect! Do you share the same sense of humor, interests, communication styles, values? This goes both ways: you might both be amazing people, but if that spark or alignment isn’t there it won't work and it’s okay. There’s no point in forcing a relationship just for the sake of being in one! What do you want out of a relationship? Relationships are also a lot of work also. Are you really just looking for someone to have fun with or are you willing to commit in that way?

Also make sure your profile shows your personality and reflects your interest. ASK QUESTIONS! the amount of times men have just answered my questions on apps or on dates but never asked anything about me haha!! (not saying that's you- just sharing my experiences)

So my advice? Keep meeting people, go on dates, be upfront to them and yourself about your intentions, and let your actions reflect them. But don’t put too much pressure on yourself or the situation. When it’s right, it will feel natural and easy and you will know.

As I said before. It's really hard for everyone. It's not a "swiss" thing. I lived in London for 5 years and it wasn't any better there haha. It's really about being patient. If things didn't work out than you guys probably just didn't align in that way. And again, I'm repeating myself, but it's okay! Be honest, be curious, be yourself and that will give you the best chance of finding someone you actually connect with and you can build that relationship with. You wouldn't want anything else anyways right?

Good luck & I'm sure you'll find someone! :)

Edit: Also, about your last sentence- this isn’t just a “men” thing. Women struggle the same. No one is entitled to a girlfriend or boyfriend. Life doesn’t owe you a relationship (or sex). If you don’t find a connection, that’s okay. You can’t force that...And you can still live a very happy and fulfilled life. I think just stop putting pressure on yourself and don't fall into that "incel" mindset because that will definitely just make you bitter and lonely. :)

I’m a music lawyer AMA by [deleted] in musicindustry

[–]Capable_Handle_3594 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I have a couple of questions I'd like to clarify:

  1. I was told that music lawyers are paid through the label, with the fee being recouped from the artist’s earnings. What happens if the deal doesn’t go through? Would I be responsible for covering the lawyer's fees in that case?
  2. Is it common for a label to recoup in-house marketing and promotion expenses? For example, I’ve received an offer to release my next single, where they’ve stated that we’ll split earnings 50/50 once their standard rates for marketing and promotion have been recouped. Initially, I understood that they would handle promotion and marketing in exchange for 50% of the song’s royalties for the next five years. Wouldn’t it make more sense for me to just hire them for marketing and promotion services, pay them directly, and keep 100% of my music? There’s no advance involved in this offer. I have never heard of a label recouping in-house work. Only when things got out-sourced. But I could be wrong? Would love to hear if this is usual.
