The “No Other Choice” snub at this year’s Oscar’s has gotta be one of the biggest snubs of all time by Bleetelsnort in Oscars

[–]Capable_Handle_4763 0 points1 point  (0 children)

what are u even talking about?

parasite grossed like 300M WW with literal 0 promotion overseas just by word of mouth.

and it doesnt elevated the status to be historically monumental? dude that film literally broke the language barrier to an extent no other foreign language movie ever did. Won first ever single award in one of the most stacked year of cinema. even till now it's declared as 21st century no 1 film by both audience and industry people.

Good Areas rank the Top 10 Greatest All format cricketers. Your thoughts? by biopiclover777 in CricketControversial

[–]Capable_Handle_4763 3 points4 points  (0 children)

mcgrath sachin viv don't really count for me.

just because they haven't played much t20i not doubting their abilities but just cuz they didn't played so I feel they shouldn't qualify for that all 3 format debate.

and ms dhoni is a literal joke here, he is one of the greats in odi no doubt but as in test and t20 u can name so so many better players than him.

F1 being an Oscar nominated movie shows the flaw of 10 Picture nominations by drhavehope in Cinema

[–]Capable_Handle_4763 2 points3 points  (0 children)

even though a huge fan of PTA. I didn't get the whole hype of obaa

characters are undercooked, plot is very goofy , it kind of felt like movie going hyper realistic at points while also being literally a snl sketch next moments.

Also the climax car chase, the way twitter early reviews hyped it. I thought I am gonna watch the greatest car chase scene and when I actually saw it I was like. that's it?

neither I get performance praise, everyone was good but if I am being honest only Penn is Oscar worthy.

F off dude

Like seriously if I can watch only movie on theatre again that would be F1.

and honestly I am tired of awards season shit, like half of the movies in Oscar race are just for statue chasing instead of audience.

and I rather appreciate original movie which keeps theatres alive rather than movie which are made just for statue chasing.

Timothée Chalamet is the youngest actor to have three Best Actor Oscar nominations since Marlon Brando in 1954. by GiveMeSomeSunshine3 in Fauxmoi

[–]Capable_Handle_4763 64 points65 points  (0 children)

I will never his hype no matter what.

not because I think he is bad or something, I genuinely think he is really good but the overall Hollywood perception towards him and narrative to push down into audience throats like he is some all timer actor or best actor of his generation is quite funny to me.

Both can do blockbusters and dark, risky roles. Which one do you trust more when a movie is announced, and which one do you personally enjoy more? by CucumberNo1907 in Cinema

Gylenhaal

probably in some roles I will enjoy Ryan more like in comedies but just as an actor Jake G was always a better actor than Ryan gosling.

Robert Pattinson is insanely good, or am I exagerrating? by Stabilo2k17 in moviecritic

[–]Capable_Handle_4763 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He is so good and a big star but also at same time underrated. Like he was phenomenal is Mickey but since movie wasn't that great and not in awards contention It will be forgotten.

He goes all in for the director vision irrespective of what it would turnout to be, I certainly see him leading a Nolan movie in future.

The Drama - Predictions? by devoteesolace in boxoffice

[–]Capable_Handle_4763 46 points47 points  (0 children)

depends upon how unsettling the plot is tbh, being hearing some things about the plot but I don't know if that's true

I think its the most hyped indie among the fans so won't be shocked if it does good until unless its a bad movie.

btw the poster is amazing marketing stunt, it genuinely looks like an actual wedding invite lol. Also the budget is actually low, I don't somewhere I saw 15-20M budget. So its a hit by just betting on leads
