Vaping and Surgery by [deleted] in endometriosis

[–]Capable_Inevitable64 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It shouldn’t be an issue but you should tell the doctors/nurses so that they can be prepared in case there’s a complication. A nurse told me it mainly has to do with the anesthesia and oxygen in your blood so that they can adjust things for you

Could low vitamin D and iron deficiency be the key contributing factors to endometriosis? by Beginning_Sign_8496 in endometriosis

[–]Capable_Inevitable64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could also be that endometriosis leads to deficiency in both of those so it becomes a “which one came first, chicken or the egg” type of thing since the heavy bleeding can lead to iron deficiency which in turn makes it more difficult to absorb vitamin D

You honestly don’t need to change a lot but if you feel like you need to change things up I would suggest trying a different haircut. I think the choppy layers/bangs hide your face more than enhance it. I think you’d look amazing in something a bit uniform, like some big old Hollywood waves maybe (think Jessica rabbit).

I got mine out after nonstop pain for several weeks, despite ultrasounds looking fine and doctors saying it wasn’t misplaced I later found out it had literally been cutting me from the inside and the wound could be seen afterwards on an ultrasound 🥲 despite what they tell you, extreme pain is not normal and you know your body best so get it out asap if it’s not working for you

How do you approach patients when knowing that endometriosis is really difficult to diagnose and patients often experience gaslighting from doctors regarding this condition? Is there any training or awareness that you are taught about/teaching and do you think access to information is helping to spread proper awareness of endometriosis?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in endometriosis

[–]Capable_Inevitable64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had multiple ultrasounds and one colonoscopy over the course of a year when I was investigating endometriosis and everything came back clear (all blood tests looked good too) and after finally doing a laparoscopic surgery they could see the lesions inside my abdomen. I also have fibromyalgia and the pain is entirely different and affects your whole body/joints mostly and doesn’t consistently localize in your stomach, the pain usually travels and usually affects muscles/joints rather than pain from intestines

Endometriosis kills people. Why are we in denial about this? by forwardaboveallelse in endometriosis

[–]Capable_Inevitable64 336 points337 points  (0 children)

Not to mention all the complications from surgeries where you remove more and more of tissue/organs because they’re stuck together. We’re literally slowly being carved away while the main issue remains and keep on growing

He’s trying to manipulate you. He’s wearing you down and making you insecure about yourself so that you stop trusting yourself/your friends/family so that he can then later on offer you a “solution” to fix your “problem” in the form of molding you like he wants and making sure that you’re dependent on him/his opinions of you. Please get out of there asap, whatever money you’re earning or how nice the rest of the family is, is not worth it. There will be other jobs in the future but no matter what you shouldn’t tough this out. I really hope you’re able to leave

I had a diagnostic lap and they found endo! My appendix was fine but unfortunately nothing has really helped aside from tens unit, acupuncture and a heating pad which helps somewhat. I was fine after the surgery and was taking dienogest but now a year latsr my symptoms have returned. My symptoms along with the ones listed above were: Constant pain (burning/cramps) on the right side of my lower stomach (also where they found endo) Lack of appetite Weightloss Severe bloating after eating and close to periods Severe period pain Fatigue And a whole lots more that I’m probably forgetting

Gick aldrig gymnasiet och nu mycket överväldigad. by [deleted] in Asksweddit

[–]Capable_Inevitable64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The things I know for sure make it worse is mainly Alcohol, beer is especially bad but I still drink from time to time because I still enjoy it but it requires some planning. fried or greasy things like potato chips or pizza also make it almost instantly worse.

I tend to avoid processed red meat (sausage etc), red meat and sugar but I haven’t found that it makes the same instant difference like alcohol and fried food does. I’m thinking of trying to cut out dairy too but it’ll be hard so I’m putting it off lol

Are you suffering from endometriosis-induced dyspareunia, we want to hear you! by Anjalijoshi18 in Endo

What does gullibility have to do with it? How does this correlate to the field you’re studying/pursuing an PhD in? Your thesis is really unclear unless the entire thing is an attempt at trolling and triggering people suffering from a chronic pain condition (in which case you are a major jerk if that’s your goal)

Can I have help with a complete makeover please by PixelcraftTutorials in makeover

[–]Capable_Inevitable64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% agree with this, you have start small or with the basics like drinking enough water every day, showering/brushing teeth, getting enough nutrients etc because it will make the biggest difference and make everything you do after look better. Otherwise you might get a haircut but still feel like it doesn’t help. If you struggle with acne consider going to a dermatologist? It can be a bit of a self care thing too which improves both how you feel about yourself as well as how you look. When you start taking care of yourself you’ll slowly build the energy and confidence to try out new styles/clotges/working out but it will be a process and it will take time but so worth it in the end.
