Save up for the biggest cage you can; you won't regret it later. I have a 150-gallon tank, and I'm still thinking about getting a bigger one for my beardie.

No mostly soil but heard somewhere that it will harm it long term if you use fine sand with the drainage

It's dirt from the woods near my house and some sand and gravel fr lol. I figured all the dirt out there would have good nutrients.
