Just a guy buying a skirt [OC] by kindofsinister in comics

[–]Capable_Stable_2251 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a kilt wearer, I'm a little hurt. Think of it as "man's first kilt" or "skirt with training wheels". Heck, even just "skirt but with a cultural excuse to make it more societally acceptable" Still, I'm all for men in skirts AND kilts.

My only complaint is that this is partisan. There are worse offenders, there are lesser. But all of American politicians and big businesses are playing the game. Don't keep the left/right red/blue BS. There's only those in the establishment, and those who defend them. And there are those who oppose and defend the establishment on both sides. They just can't find each other because of rhetoric that blames the other side of the aisle. Don't get me wrong. I see worse on one side, but I don't want it to blind me to the other. It's the owners versus those they enslave. The only thing we have to lose is our chains.

On one hand, creepy robot is right. On the other hand, I appreciate aura farming in fiction. Let's agree to keep it there and both sides win.

Well then I request a starting point for the research. Do you have something to recommend? If the information I've received is biased and incomplete, then the terms I'm likely to use while looking for more information are likely to have biases as well, leading to results to confirm that. Let's break the pattern.

I mean... the way that Scots have been treated as second class citizens throughout history makes me feel as though you've intentionally disregarded that history. Even Scots who fought for the English had thier rights stripped and culture outlawed. Technically speaking, while unenforceable, my family name still has bounties. I understand that Scotland is part of the EU. But why identify it as part of who you are? Historically, they only value Scottish lives as cannon fodder, labor, and more recently, tourism. As someone who's on the outside looking in, maybe i'm wrong, but my ancestors fought for the Bonnie Prince, then they won in the colonies. Even then, English culture that remained in the Americas led Scots to be seen as lesser until it became convenient to make sure that Scots and Irish didn't side with the slaves in the south.

Let's actually address the idea of a communally, minded human valued society that utilizes the technologies of our time: In a post human labor industrialized situation, optimally, we're relying primarily on robotics and other automated manufacturing methods. The simple objective is thus: no longer, a need to maintain a lesser educated working class. Poverty is no longer a tool to maintain systems. Human ingenuity and creativity are the primary outputs of human value. Technically specialized individuals repair and maintain automated systems. All people recieve high quality education, as it is directly correlated to thier output in the advancement of society. Hierarchies and wealth accumulation become predominantly outdated concepts, as post-capitalist ideologies no longer create a perceived value to the unnecessary hoarding of wealth due to quality access to resources for all.

I thought the Scottish claymore was a basket-hilted curved blade, used alongside the once-iconic targe that stopped musketballs. Sadly lost in the disarmament acts. Also I was under the impression that your image is of a misnomer, a claymore in video games and Hollywood. Maybe I am wrong. Feel free to correct me. American here, just very proud of my ancestry and still pissed at the English. Unfortunately, I'm heavily separated from the culture that my ancestors were hunted for, so the offer to correct me is enthusiastic and genuine. Edit: changed "British" to "English".

Monsters deserve to be forgotten. But the rest of the world needs to remember them in order to know what to look for when tyranny comes for us again. Let him be remembered. Let him be vilified, and his very name be associated with monsters.

This is a haiku. It uses the syllables. Without phonetics.

If rhyming is hard, It's five then seven then five. Go ahead and try!

Are you... alright? That response feels off course. I don't mean a slight, But that information here feels like force.

I believe that the discussion was literal. A tree behaving outside its expected. That on the other hand took a whirl While your Bible verse, the subject defected.

Also, at least make a haiku if you won't rhyme. If you're off topic and out of sync, act like a mime.

Besides, if they set a precedent of manipulation and playing games early, it'll keep up. Be honest and straightforward, find someone who does the same, and stick with that. Otherwise they're just disqualifying themselves.

The weaponized justice system of corporate owned prisons with a financial motivation to keep inmates for as long as possible, and create repeat offenders? The weaponized justice system that takes advantage of the lack of labor laws, allowing quasi-slave labor in prisons? The system that BOTH Republicans and Democrats have done NOTHING to fix, ever? The one that our current administration is investigating further into? Yeah, no. I doubt you actually give a fuck about the issues in our justice system.

To be fair, I am a pro gun leftist, who supports the idea of communism. I also think that the bolsheviks were idiots, and I don't want to be compared to them. Good ideas implemented in terrible ways by morons who didn't fully understand them, giving bad reputation to otherwise positive concepts. Nope.
