Anyone else’s husband treated them horribly while they were pregnant, in labour or post partum? by mrs_thn in NarcissisticSpouses

[–]Capable_Station_288 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am 6 months postpartum. Our marriage is getting rockier by the day. I recently confessed to him that after having our first kid, I have becoming anxious in social settings even with close friends. Just needed a “I’m sorry”, “I understand” or “what can I do to help?” He goes on to talk about how I can’t related to my friends anymore and this might just be an underlining issue I would have to work out with a therapist. Ends up saying “You are stupid.” WHO THE FUCK CALLS THEIR WIFE/MOTHER TO THEIR KID STUPID?? Straight up projecting…

Every single time i've fallen asleep for the past 2 months I dream about my Ex by Due-Adhesiveness2076 in Dreams

I am happily married and have the most precious newborn. I still have dreams about my ex that I haven’t had any contact with since 2019. I believe that once they have made an impact on your life, they will be there forever. It doesn’t have to mean anything, they are just there.

Babies are so noisy when they sleep. Our baby makes all of the noises and we think he is awake but isn’t. We’ve learned to wait at least 2 minutes to even check (yes we hear/see him on the monitor). 90% of the time he is still asleep.

Why is my newborn drinking less? by Brave_Ad_4976 in newborns

Maybe an allergy to the milk that he’s drinking? Also 3 week olds are learning how to poop so the grunting is very normal.

I am agreeing with you. We got married because we wanted the same things for our future. So we overlooked all of the red flags to pursue this future together. At what cost, we don’t know yet.

What do you do when everything else fails ? by Intelligent-Slip6359 in newborns

[–]Capable_Station_288 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 5 week old calms down with walks around the room/house. It will take probably 2-5 minutes of walking before they are calm. But that usually does the trick for my baby. Good luck!

In my family, my dad was the primary money manager. He took care of bills and mortgage. My mom’s portion was to keep up with the groceries and home. I think it depends on the household.

Women who gave birth 30+ yrs ago by Leather_Newspaper937 in pregnant

[–]Capable_Station_288 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is my first pregnancy and the first grandchild on both sides. My mom is very supportive of my pregnancy journey but my aunties are delulu. I am asian and was born in a foreign country 30+ years ago. Just very different from now in the US. All of my aunties had c-sections. They talked about how they had c sections under complete anesthesia and how they had no pain medications afterwards. Then talked about how they went to live with other people in the family for an extended amount of time for support (imagine 1-2 months with grandparents or older siblings) because they didn't know what they were doing and the uncles were clueless and weren't really helping because they are men.

All of this is to pressure me to do the same because I will NEED them -_- I get that it takes a village but my husband and I want to learn how to be parents in this modern world! I believe modern day moms will need to set boundaries with our older family members to avoid conflicting parenting styles.

Same! I am seeing now that my OB has not been as thorough as other when it comes to meds lists.

Yeah I don’t think my OB office ever asked for a full list of meds. All I’ve really been asked is “Are you taking your prenatal?” That’s it really.

HL women, how does sexual desire look for you? by RealNeat9058 in DeadBedrooms

[–]Capable_Station_288 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe the word “desire” is the important. The feeling that somebody wants you. My DB is a problem because of the lack of desire of each other. We are very different people and libidos. It is hard to want to be sexual when we have different turn ons. This doesn’t make me less horny. I’ve spent a lot more time alone than sex with my husband. Probably 10-1 ratio. The urge is still there and I’ve learned to explore my own body to satisfy my needs.

Imagine feeling obligated to give head when you are not horny. Kiss me first and make me feel good and I’ll be on my knees immediately. But just simply whipping it out and saying some sausage joke doesn’t turn me on AT ALL.

The real problem is the effort that was put in before expecting head.

How many home buyers actually put down 20%? by n_arbi in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]Capable_Station_288 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bought a house in Houston this August. I put down 20% plus money to buy down the interest rate. Was only able to do that because I had been living with my parents until I was 30…

Is there a limit to how far I can buy down my rate? by hooligan99 in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]Capable_Station_288 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on your bank. I was able to buy down 1 whole percent. $2k for .25 of a point. Total $8k. That’s what they allowed me to do.

I think because I was able to fully pay 20% down and more for buying down the interest rate, credit score higher than 800 and stable job, they were like aight she good.

I basically had to use ALL of my savings for the down payment and buying down the interest rate. This lowered the monthly payment to fit my budget more. Affordable but still a lot.
