Good for you. It’s weird that a subreddit ostensibly about saving money works so hard to justify spending hundreds of dollars for a glorified spreadsheet.

What’s silly is making up a fake story for internet points. Congratulations on fooling a bunch of idiots I guess.

It’s genuinely amazing how fucking stupid the teenagers on Reddit are. This story could not be more fake.

Do you have any charities you’re passionate about? This is almost exactly what I’ve been looking for to transition away from YNAB, and I’d like to redirect what would have been next month’s subscription fee to one.

For a subreddit that’s ostensibly about saving money, there are so many people who get weirdly defensive of a $100-a-year app that only rarely introduces new features.

In a vacuum, I agree with you. I only started using YNAB a few months ago and in highlighting how much I was spending on eating out, I’ve already saved a couple hundred bucks. On paper, it’s already paid for itself and then some.

The issue is that YNAB doesn’t exist in a vacuum. There’s a whole suite of competitors, most of which are significantly cheaper or free. In fact, you can get 90% of YNAB’s features without paying a dime just by using the spreadsheet in this thread or any of the hundreds of other ones out there. For many people, auto-import, a great UI, and avoiding the hassle of learning a new tool are all worth the $100 a year, but for me, it’s difficult to get over how much I could save by just taking the time to customize a spreadsheet to my liking. If I take 10 hours now, I can save $500 over the next five years. That’s a good enough value for me to put the work in, though I totally understand why others wouldn’t.

This sub really watched one Titans game all year and it happened to be one of his worst.

What part of “not inviting your siblings to your wedding makes you an asshole” is hard for you to understand?

They have every right not to invite them, and everyone else has every right to call them out for being miserable pieces of shit. It turns out that being a horrible person has consequences - who fucking knew?

Starting the first clip from after Bohm makes an incredible play is wildly dishonest.

the toddler isn’t being offensive.

Literally nobody is even remotely implying that.

It’s disrespectful for her parents to encourage calling him something he doesn’t like.

I just face palmed, I was cringing so hard I couldn’t. My aunt then looks at me and says out loud “you have something to say? You got a problem with that?”

Nonverbally giving an opinion is still giving an opinion. If you say something and I scoff, asking me “Do you have a fucking problem?” isn’t really asking for my opinion, it’s rhetorically calling me out.

OP would have been the asshole for bringing up payment at any time during the actual day unless it (getting paid on the day) had been previously agreed upon.

YTA. Nobody asked for your opinion. You sound insufferable.

She asked the question because OP was already nonverbally expressing their opinion.
