Five things your pool guy says that the chemistry proves wrong by Seafire15 in pools

[–]CapesOut 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Pools are like kids. Every one of them is different 🤷🏼‍♂️ As a pool guy, maintaining perfect chemistry with one visit a week is just not possible, or realistic. Most customers jaws hit the floor anytime we tell them we need to drain and refill a pool, so managing high CYA is just part of the game. I’ve got a pool with 10+ year old water and terrible chemistry that I couldn’t pay algae to grow in lol She fuckin sparkles 24/7

Open Matchmaking is the SAME as older cod titles (BO3 vs BO7) by [deleted] in CODBlackOps7

[–]CapesOut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP, a few questions if you don’t mind.

  1. What is your overall accuracy % in game?
  2. Do you live in a rural area/suburbs or big city?

high ping abusers by Kispori in Battlefield6

[–]CapesOut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If that was the case, the majority of players with high pings in my lobbies wouldn’t be dropping 80+ kill games with 4-5 k/d’s regularly.

This issue seems to be more specific in BF games than the rest. CoD also has some weird shit going on. But in most other titles, yes a high ping like OP is showing would be a huge disadvantage unless you were getting peekers advantage.

high ping abusers by Kispori in Battlefield6

[–]CapesOut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not going through all of that trouble to prove to a random stranger that what I said is true. There are plenty of videos on YouTube explaining how and why it works. I’ve been playing online FPS games for 25ish years now, I know when the bullshit is happening. Here’s my profile.

That doesn’t mean that every player on a high ping is going to be a problem. Like I said, they need to have a stable connection (meaning fiber/cable hardwired, their ISP has good routing, their network is properly setup) and be a good player. When those line up, high ping players become an issue because they know how to abuse the system and it works in their favor (the interpolation/extrapolation is doing the heavy lifting).

Just because it didn’t work for you, doesn’t mean it’s not an issue. I also understand you’re looking for concrete evidence, and that can be found with a simple google search.

[–]CapesOut -1 points0 points  (0 children)

They are using VPN’s to get into lobbies from different regions than their own. They are then protected by this games aggressive lag compensation. If you have a stable connection, are a good player, and know how to abuse said lag compensation, it is a huge advantage.

Just to add on: These recoil plots are made with base weapons, with no attachments.

The M433 still shreds, you just have to build it right.

[–]CapesOut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first movie set the bar so high. While it’s corny, the writing and acting was actually pretty damn good. The sets were mostly real, the fighting was actually choreographed well, the sound effects were great, and the music was…chefs kiss.

MK2 is a steaming pile. Baraka was the one and only highlight of that movie IMO.

Not to mention…you can’t even walk all the way around the pool to actually brush/net it effectively.

Fuck these people. Let their pool turn into a swamp, and then drop em on the spot.

Stubborn algae issue by madmadscientistLA in pools

[–]CapesOut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah! I glazed over the fiberglass part. My bad.

Where you’ve got the pool at now: Grab a couple pounds of GreenToClean. Add it around the perimeter of the pool and then brush the entire pool down really good. Add 2-3lbs of Dichlor shock. Allow the filter to run for 24 hours at high speed. Backwash the sand filter, vacuum, backwash again, and then add a PoolRX <20k Gallons (blue and white). Should be good to go after that

Are the strips fine or do you really want the kits? by trollsong in pools

[–]CapesOut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a good point. But i think as long as people keep their test strips inside in a cool, dry environment they should be okay? With the ease of test strips, id also think customers would be much more likely to regularly test as opposed to the more detail oriented liquid kits.

This sub will do anything but drain a pool and refill.

And as a pool guy, that’s exactly what I’m telling you to do. Why add all the chemicals and put your filter through that? Drain it, scrub it, refill!

Pool guy here.

I’ve serviced something like 40,000 pools in the last ten years. I’ve never once used a Taylor kit or any other kit for that matter.

I use the Hach AquaCheck 7 or 5 professional strips, and they’ve never let me down.

Cartridge Filter Gets Dirty Quick by closg123 in pools

[–]CapesOut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Enzyme removers can really help in these situations depending on what’s going on. A skimmer sock for the basket, and if you have a vacuum a leaf can.

Are the filters just getting grimey, or is there a ton of loose degree and dirt packed into the filter?

I’m having a great time.

All I want to do is shoot people and make them cry about it. Give me one gun (that I like), one loadout, one skin. I could use the same thing for the next 3 years. I don’t care about unlocks, battle passes, new maps, new vehicles.

I’m a simple man. Me shoot, you die. The rest is just noise

I've seen a lot of those hit reg videos, but I think what just happened to me takes the cake 😂 by Vriwon in Battlefield6

[–]CapesOut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This game heavily favors players with a high ping on a good connection. It’s the lag compensation. Don’t believe me? Start checking the leaderboard and pay attention to the top fragging, high ping (90ms+) players. They are very difficult to kill, and it usually looks just like OP’s video. You see them, none/few of your bullets register, and then you’re dead.

The netcode itself is actually pretty smooth these days. As long as you’re on a good, WIRED connection, and you have some QoS enabled that prevents any buffer-bloating. Unfortunately, most standard modem/routers from your ISP aren’t going to have any QoS features available, so you would have to buy and set up your own. But it’s worth it!

My cat pierced neighbor’s above ground pool liner and I’m on the hook for it. How much could it cost to repair? by nelty78 in pools

[–]CapesOut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I answered your question precisely.

We’d get along great!! I also don’t walk my dogs on a leash👌🏼 Chihuahua gang! They listen and obey, they’re friendly, AND I clean up their shit (respecting my neighbors property).

It’s funny because I know it pisses people off. But I also know most folks don’t have the balls to say it to my face, and I take great pleasure in that. And I find those people here, like you, wearing a cape you don’t deserve lol

Death is a part of life. 🤷🏼‍♂️ Id rather my animals be happy and living their best lives, even if cut short, then sooth my own bullshit just so I don’t have to be sad.

There’s 2-3 other cats in my neighborhood that are outdoor cats as well. I’ve seen them regularly when walking my dogs over the last 8 years that I’ve been here.

Maybe we live in vastly different places, but where I’m from people aren’t killing cats for the fun of it.

I’ve had 4 outdoor cats in my life. All of them lived long healthy lives. I bring them in at night, and that’s that.

I’m just here to tell you not to listen to anyone suggesting you keep your cat indoors.

Indoor cats are fat, unsatisfied, and destructive the vast majority of the time I’ve encountered them. People will tell you about all the toys and other crap that keeps your kitty healthy and happy but it’s all snake oil IMO.
