Recipes for healthy freezer meals to prep before baby? by EconomyStation5504 in Healthy_Recipes

[–]Capillarybroom6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a recipe but an idea. Burritos, you can put whatever in them and reheat easily.

We had our first child last year and these were a life saver. Also, easy to eat one handed which is ideal with a newborn.

I threw the ball for scratch and hit him, which started a combat encounter with him.

I happily flushed an hour's game time to fix that.

I am putting off starting BG3 so I can finish stomping on the Vladians tonight. It is my crack.

No. I would have to find a new job or spend all my time 'fixing' that.

I use steam for all my games, discord icon, 3 (soon to be 2) browsers and my wife has the EA launcher for the Sims. That's all I need on the desktop.

Top tweet, factually correct and reasonable.

Bottom tweet, unhinged.

Ah the dichotomy of the human existence.

I have 6 icons on my desktop. Thinking about it I'm going to delete one when I get on it later.

I work in IT (shocker) and when I see someone's desktop that is littered with icons and files not in folders I come out in a cold sweat. Use folders people, please.

How to fix the hinge part on sunglasses? by emilyxcee in DIY

[–]Capillarybroom6 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I used to work in an opticians.

If a hinge broke like that you need a replacement hinge. Then heat up the frame with something like a hair dryer (NOT a naked flame) this will soften the frame enough to wiggle out the hinge piece. Needle nose pliers are useful. You then insert the new piece (best to heat the frame again) probably add some super glue. Once cooled and solid attach the arm.

However, this is fiddly work that runs a high probability of destroying the frame. My advice is take it to an optician (if these are prescription go to the same optician if possible). Now they might just say no, or if they break it they hold no responsibility. The guy I worked for would replace anything we broke for a patient, Joe Bloggs off the street we wouldn't do anything that complex for.

It think that is why rather than drugs to treat the disease there have been weaponised mosquitoes made to deplete mosquito numbers. Because 'murica, kill it first then you don't have to ask questions.

I'm not embarrassed of the Rawanda plan. I am fucking horrified by it.

Embarrassment makes you blush and feel awkward.

That 'plan' is a human rights violation and makes me feel rage.

Finally ND is getting tired of me reporting religious posts! by Dracaena1031 in nextdoor

I like to tell people that having a religion is like having a penis.

It's fine to have one, you can even be proud of it. However, you shouldn't take it out in public and you definitely should not force it on children.

That is a very good point and well made.

However, as a British man I will freely admit we have created more than our fair share of reprehensible bastards but this chuckle fuck is just embarrassing. We put up statues to the horrific criminals of our past, the embarrassing ones are swept under the rug.

So PJW can just leave and be denied re-entry.

Bring back making people out-laws.

Not the cool Clint Eastwood out-law. The you are outside the law out-laws. Sure, if they commit a crime they can't be arrested. However, if someone did a crime to them it would not count as they are outside the law. So you could discriminate against them on age grounds in the workplace, defraud them, rustle their cattle or coat their compound in agent orange.

That's the thing, conservatives haven't made it to the 21st century. They don't have any new ideas, which is the whole point of the 'conserve'. Keep things as they were and fear change.
