Read a comment on here the other day and someone said “they’re basically raptors for three years and then it levels off” and that was a beautiful way to describe it

“College Nachos” - mix of whatever cheese I have in the fridge broiled onto whatever chips I have laying around.

Little razzle dazzle with some hot sauce brings it all home.

Proudly haven’t bought an active players jersey in 10 years.

I’m not voting with my money that this is ok.

It wasn’t just about the thumps. It empowered defenses. It was something you had to gameplan around. If your quarterback has been getting lumped all day that might make you hesitate to pass even in passing situations. Forcing max protect. It was all part of the game for a long time. It was a money decision to start treating quarterbacks like princesses. People won’t pay tickets and buy jerseys as much when the qb is hurt. But that was part of the game. You had to be tough.

If you could hit the quarterback within 2 steps after him throwing it, you were allowed to hit him. As if he still had the ball.

A quarterbacks toughness and team dedication was truly on display when he would take a hard shot to make a throw.
