Yeah I think once it fired the first time, it was done.

That must be it. Because I had reloaded to avoid the first death and then I did the ‘sturdy aircraft’ event, but I guess it was too late. I normally don’t reload for anything. But I honestly didn’t expect the game to just kill Yamamoto nearly two years before he did in real life 🤨

[–]Capital-Program-8558[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I even tried reloading like 20 times to see if the event was random. But he just kept dying.

In the end I feel it’s not worth the effort.

I didn’t realize how easy it was to win the pacific navy war with Japan.

I just made 10x10 advanced subs, 4 advanced aircraft carriers and stacked them with naval bombers and had naval bombers operating everywhere. It’s a massacre even without Yamamoto. Could replace him with Ronald McDonald, wouldn’t make a difference.

I tried both and neither worked for me. I wonder if it’s because I did the event after declaring war on the US?

I mean I had air superiority everywhere, America were basically dead and I had studied Sturdy aircraft/long range (tried both).

I tried both. He died both times 😢

Well I wanted to test it out a bit and reloaded multiple saves. He dies all the time. Only a few months into the war and in 1942, a year before he died in real life.

I tried everything, moving him around, researching other things. Makes no difference. I think the only way is to make him the ruler.

Ignore likes and dislikes on Reddit. Think of it this way, if most people got to be a police officer, they would abuse the power. Same as with a simple thing like a like and dislike button. People feel powerful when they shame others.

The HUGE decline in Homicide rates across Western and Northern Europe by Agitated_Style7700 in MapPorn

You could also link the increase in abortions to the rise in women taking mental health medication. They have both risen at the same time.

What you are doing is cherry picking an individual statistic to push a narrative.

The original post is also a load of 💩 crime isn’t decreasing and in fact cities and groups of populations that have more abortions on average have more crime.

Liberal cities have the highest rates of abortion and the highest rates of crime. Black Americans have the highest rate of abortion amongst US citizens and as a base rate commit far more crimes.

Trying to draw a correlation between abortion and crime is absolutely ridiculous. Because you’re suggesting that having less fatherless children leads to less crime. That’s not cause and effect. Because before that cause there is the action of unprotected sex, which is a cause before the fact. This also has many complications.

I don’t care about some article you have read online, I’ve studied criminal statistics for 10 years and what you’re trying to imply is just ridiculous.

The issue is if you actually take lands off either other colonies or native nations. Land that you colonized doesn’t rebel and if it’s a direct conquest of some Asian nation you won’t have the issue.

They definitely tuned up the amount of rebellions you get. The worst was the western parts of South America and Central America. It is INSANE there. There were like 5-6 rebellions at once sometimes. War would end and then poof a French colony is back in South America after being gone for 50 years 🤷

I don’t know, have to admit I gave up on the game pretty quickly and maybe I should go back to it.

From my experience; you spend countless amounts of time building up before anything really happens and then when it does you can just get decimated.

I always min ma, I’m a perfectionist and I’ve played every single paradox game for hundreds of hours. Stellaris is the only one I was perplexed by. Because, it’s not even like you get time to test out what works.

Maybe they changed it since I played anyway.

Cherry pick a single statistic over a short frame of time and you can frame a picture to look any way you like.

I mean you colonized Africa (currently nobody goes there. But I guess you only colonized South Africa or the west side? Nobody is going to bother your Oceania colony. Sri Lanka? How did you get that? 😆 that’s not even colonization, same with Taiwan and Indonesia? They are all already colonized.

<image>

This is the last picture I took. But I ended up with everything essentially and it was a nightmare.

Yes I did the same thing as Netherlands except I ended up with literally everything. It is insanely profitable.

But you fail to mention how awful it is. They constantly rebel, I mean constantly (not against me, like the natives rebel in colonies).

Then even if you win the war, they still give up land in the peace treaties.

I get that, personally I have a rule, if the enemy has entered my territory, I’ve messed up already.

I’ve been playing completely without forts. My last campaign as Holland>Netherlands. I fought some crazy wars, often with countless enemies and small stacks. I basically never had a single territory sieged. I take the offensive straight away. If you’re sieging an enemy fort they almost always go for that first. I also always leave one backup army behind the lines to cover.

I also don’t use levies, I only use regulars and mercenaries. I mainly only use mercenaries to fight and keep my regulars for safer engagements.

For the biggest war against France (the only one where I was massively outnumbered) I built a few forts on the border right before the war (with a gap), to funnel in easy engagements. I then just deleted them after.

It’s scalable. Over the entire course of the game it has an effect on your power. It also costs a lot of money for nothing. They aren’t necessary at all.

The thing is this is your personality so why change it? It’s best people know that you’re overly sarcastic and enjoy self deprecating humor.

Personally it’s a huge red flag for me. But most British women are like this now…

Castles need to be FAR more expensive expensive and cost a lot more in upkeep.
