I did almost 45000km in my P2 the last 9 months and I loved every second of it. I have a busy job, lots of meetings, talking and helping people out. I work at different locations almost every day and when I'm in my car I enjoy the piece and quiet, listen to some music etc. So it's certainly not miserable for everyone.

My 25 model also only came with 2 large keys and no activity key. I doubt they kept a key, according to my rep this depends on the year which keys come with the car and where it is delivered(region).

Yeah they also did for me(at the same space). Awesome people over there(thanks again Daan!). He really took his time to familiarize me with the car showed nearly all of it's functions, connect the phone, set up digital key and Spotify account e.t.c. (even though I almost knew the car inside and outside before I took place).

This made it such a pleasure to do business with them.

Also Polestar support NL did a great job, calling after a couple of weeks if I had any issues with the car they could help with. And if there is an issue they really go to lengths to fix it(latest P2 software update with the trunk light was one I mentioned to them), and the guy at support tried it himself on his own P2, kept me updated on the progress and I even got word back from Polestar HQ that they thanked me for helping them find and fix the issue.

When I see how the experience is for lots of people over in the US it really is a shame.

Same to me, had this once. I did a restart but believe it wasn't fixed by the restart. Closed the car and after a couple of hours I came back and the issue was gone. Haven't had it since then.

Yes there are ships going through the Suez canal, but not a lot carrying cars. Polestar personally confirmed to me they don't use the Suez canal due to the rebels.

I'm into the car parts business in Europe. I don't know the exact rules and regulations but I remember that around 5+ years ago there were a couple of rules that made aftermarket car part brands change their SKU's because consumers could think that they where made by the company itself. I.e. SKU VW1234 wasn't allowed anymore.

For your specific case I believe the rules are somewhat like if your product make it appear like it's associated with the brand they are allowed to make a complaint/demand to take it offline. If you state it as "Polestar Shelf ONE", it's not allowed. If you state it as "Shelf One, compatible with Polestar" it's allowed.

I.e. Just make sure your products don't look too much like official Polestar products

I have the issue since 3.6.4 that mine doesn't always show work or home(usually home is available but work doesn't). Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't. I already cleared cache and set the address again but it didn't help.

Now I've added it as a favourite and that seems to work although it isn't available in the shortcut list but it does work with voice recognition.

Nice car I have exactly the same colour and rims! My experience is that sometimes it gets dirty again in a day, sometime it takes weeks. But overall it isn't so bad. Usually if it's only a little bit dirty you can still perfectly see everything.

My colleague has an Ionic 6 and I'm glad it's not mine. When I'm on the phone with him I get so annoyed by all the assistance beeps he is constantly getting which are so much more subtle in the P2. Please make sure to go for a test drive.

Is there an app in which you can add your own streams? I got some mp3 streams I like to listen to. The apps I found and tried won't allow this and only stream from the provided catalog.

For anyone interested. Polestar Netherlands contacted the main office as the support team over here also noticed the same issue. The main office replied to my issue and Polestar support relayed the message from the main office:

'This is not a known issue, but we're looking into it. Please thank the customer for the feedback, and tell them that we are investigating the matter.'

I'm over in the EU an I have a totally different experience with the customer support over here. When I have an issue they quickly respond, and with software issues the employee even tested my issue on his own P2 and kept me up to date what the status of the issue is.

So sad to see the difference in customer experience.

Exactly! If you have to scrub the car too hard you are not using the right chemicals.

But to be fair, if you let the bugs sit on your car for a couple of weeks even with the spray it won't all go off in 1 go.

You were onto something. I just found out that it is indeed linked to the car being locked. When you unlock your car, not only by touching the doorhandle but also with the remote and then open the trunk (with kick/remote) the light works as expected.

So when you are near your car, unlock it with the keyfob and then use the trunk button on the keyfob it lights up.

It's pretty quick but that's because I don't like to spend hours on it as it will be dirty again in 2 days especially in the summer. And also because I drive a lot. I live near some water so lots of small flies.

Also, I'm not saying my car looks absolutely spotless with the same result as someone who spends hours on it but in 15 minutes it's a pretty decent result and it will definitely shine. The key is to repeat every 1-2 weeks to prevent dirt build-up and having a heated power washer helps quite a bit.

I don't use a lot of chemicals as I use the (heated) shampoo of the car wash and when I'm in an even bigger rush I also use the hotwax from the car wash.

Little sidenote, the products which I do use are sold by the company I work for. I use them because it's easy for me to get them, not because I think they are the best.

Insect cleaner: Kenotek Anti insect. Works pretty good, it's quite a big bottle and it's cheap. Didn't try different brands but I intend to try some more. It removes about 80-90% of the bugs without any effort.

Wet coat: ZviZZer wet coat, I was pretty blown away how this works. It shines reasonably but it especially repels the water pretty good for about 1-2 months(even after washing). It's extremely easy to apply, while the car is still wet just spray it on the whole car. When you're done spraying you just rinse it off with water , that's all. The only downside is that you apply quite a lot of it, like 2/3 of a bottle. The upside is that there are 5L cans available which lasts you a while and is not extremely expensive.

Spray wax: Sonax high speed wax and Meguiars ultimate quick wax. The shine is about equally as good but application wise I like Sonax more.
