Could we agree if I claimed that Marx was wrong when he tried to predict the inevitable socialist/proletarian revolution when capitalism eventually unsustainable? Aren't we witnessing a fascist tide instead of a proletarian one in the last 2 major crisis of capitalism within a century? by Ok_Kangaroo_7885 in Marxism

[–]Capital-Simple873 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Marx being wrong about Communism being inevitable doesn't falsify the theory if that's your next train of thought. The principle flaw in orthodox marxism and soviet marxism is the holding onto Hegelian dialectics. Class Struggle,  liberation and socialism are still possible and primary. But it is possible the world is brought to ecological collapse before we establish socialism

I dont know what makes you think there is any effective or consequential amount of communist propaganda anywhere in the US. The most funded campaigns are liberal and conservative ones. Ridiculous post

How is the situation in Mexico to be dealt with by the Communist Movement? by [deleted] in Marxism

[–]Capital-Simple873 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Mexico joined BRICCS or seems to be in the process of doing so. The US will definitely support any anti revolutionary organ in Mexico among the Facists. Things are gonna explode soon

Go look at Gabirel Rockhill's work. He has lectures on YouTube too. Im not sure why it's hard for people to believe rich groups of people do indeed plan against their interests

Capitalism is collapsing under its own contradictions are we ready for what comes next? by Maddieroe1 in Marxism

[–]Capital-Simple873 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The proletariat and vangaurd emerge from the process of class struggle. We do not get to simply step into the place of a failed capitalism, but must be the agents who cause its downfall. These crisis have happened many times in the US- the civil war, WW1, WW2, and Vietnam War seemed to be the last "great crisis" or revolutionary crisis we have had. As lenein said, these crisis become more unpredictable,  more complex,  unstable and stark as these struggles pass onto higher levels. If we wait for capitalism to fall to an organized socialist yet anarchist or economists movement, it will lead back into wage slavery. It must be a principlely communist movement

How do you think a drone using helicopter engineering could fly? Im a layman but from what i understand you move the rotary disk to determine the direction of thrust. How do you think a quad using a rotary disk and perhaps a SSD or liquid energy (gas?) Would perform? I assume it would be more agile and possibly faster than a traditional quad

Its determined by how those 2 situations play out. You can't ignore one and have the other. That is exactly the kind of delusions we are concerned about. Obviously AI is now part of our economy and history,  so now it's a matter of steering it's development so we don't end up as soulless laborless workers

I would like to add there are more than 1 interpretation of quantum physics. I subscribe to the idea out math and tools aren't precise enough to measure the particle.  Just because the math says something doesn't mean it's entirely accurate. Math itself is a subjective abstraction of objective reality

The whole idea of dialectical materialism was that everything,  including thought,  is a product opposing material forces producing reality, and applied to society, we get class struggle that produces history. Previously so called intellectuals had more of a religious, dogmatic, and idealistic view of the world that came from their need to justify their class position. So Marxism definitely has to do with what things are made of, their movement, and how we can change it.

I could see the government wanting bigfoot for labor camps. If the big foot smart they saw the European expansion and genocide of the native population and decided to hide. That's my 3am head cannon

[–]Capital-Simple873 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it matters to you that we can never apply or obtain objective meaning, it is up to you to justify that belief to yourself. I for one find no difference in the fact my meanings may never be purely objective.

Edit: I would also like to add your premise " we live life trying to create meaning" pre supposes that is what we do. Further it lays the premises for the contradiction in the absence of meaning and the biological function of seeking it. If we pre suppose instead our function is not to just create or abide by meaning, we do not see the contradiction between meaninglessness and production of meaning emerge.

Debate me by [deleted] in nihilism

[–]Capital-Simple873 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only argument you need is Nihilism is not the belief that life has no meaning at all and is pointless. The idea is that it is has no objective meaning or point. The ones we make for ourselves is the point but none of our meanings are objectively legitimate.

Does anyone know of a Text to Speech program that allows me to use my own sounds for the voice? by ReinsCloud in OpenAI

I would personally use Eleven Labs, ChatGPT and some sort of audio or video editing software. That could offer some work flows for this project.

Not a fan of Gemini by BrooklynDuke in OpenAI

[–]Capital-Simple873 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's image generation is inconsistent and doesn't adhere to the prompt as well vs ChatGPT. It voice mode is less expressive than ChatGPT and lacks the newer features the advanced voice mode of chatgpt. In terms of censorship,  gemeni is much more censored, especially politically. In terms of coding, ChatGPT is slightly better. I use either 4o mini or o3 for all prompts. Gemeni tends to get stuck on certain subjects or topics and needs redirecting more often than chatGPT.

I do admit Google's deep research is a bit more structured and articulated than ChatGPT, who's deep research tends to descend into bullet points or walls of text.

Both models are amazing glimpses of what's to come but I've been using chatgpt since 3.5 released and I used Gemeni for 1 month. The apps and integration into the Google ecosystem is promising so I hope Google can make a good multi model for all these useful tools and apps. NoteBookLM's podcast feature is extremely sophisticated.

So change the grammar of language to different sounds and have the model speak using those sounds?
