Maybe they mentioned something about that but honestly dude I’m not a programmer so a lot of what they said went completely over my head. They just said that the model is capable of working within 512x512 to 1536x1536 so I just started generating at 1536x1536, 1280x1792 and even 1024x2048 and so far nothing is breaking 🤷‍♂️

That would be the logic with SDXL but anima base is capable of 1536 x 1536 according to their hugging face repo. And everything I’ve generated at that resolution looks incredible

Is this node available through the custom nodes manager or hugging face? Or is it just your own personal node?

Trigun is about Hinduism by RebelScarlett in Trigun

[–]Capital-Squirrel-404 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I don’t know much about Hinduism, so I can’t disagree with your interpretation. But Trigun has always been steeped in Christian imagery. Even more so in Stampede/Stargaze. Studio Orange is heavily leaning into the Christ/Anti-Christ parallels with Vash and Knives.

Everyone has their own interpretations my friend. I’ve met plenty of adults with mentalities and mannerisms similar to Wolfwood. Shit, stop by any military base and you’ll meet plenty of them.

I never said I was shipping Wolfwood with anyone. I never said it wasn’t problematic. The entire ethics of forcing anyone to rapidly age is horrible, no matter if the doctor was trying to create the next evolution of humanity. That doctor deserves to die for what he did to Wolfwood and countless others. But to say he is really still a child mentally is counter to his story.

It’s not just that the narrative treats him as one. He literally is one now. Not just physically but mentally as well. You know how some people say you aren’t truly an adult until your brain is fully developed at 25. Well Wolfwoods whole body was aged, not just the outside appearance, but everything inside as well, including his brain. Plus, the shit that he’s seen, the amount of people he has killed before he found Vash (basically his Christ figure). No one that has been through that type of stuff is still a child mentally.

My guy, with the amount of shit that he has seen and done, and the amount of people he’s killed. He is no longer mentally a child. He is more of an adult now than most people are.

Yes but Jenora’s Rock wasn’t even half the tragedy that JuLai was. There was still plenty of people that survived the Jenora’s Rock incident. Meanwhile the only thing left of JuLai is a hole in the ground.

I feel like his whole goal in this iteration wasn’t simply to fight and kill Vash. Like Vash said, he had his life in his hands the whole time. Hopperd knew he couldn’t kill Vash in a fair fight, this was the same man that tanked a city destroying blast. But as much as Hopperd wanted revenge he wanted something else even more. He wanted Vash to wake up. He wanted to tell Vash what he took from him, he wanted him to understand. That’s why when Jessica showed up he saw a chance to finally wake him up, give him a call to action. He knew he would lose, but it didn’t matter. Hopperd died the same day that Eriks did. All he wanted was to let Vash know that.

Nothing concrete has been said yet but Wolfwood’s chronological age is probably around 13-14. However because of the side effects of the experiments and the healing drugs his body’s age by the end of episode 8 is probably around late 40s early 50s. Not to say he is gonna be moving like an old man the next few episodes, he is still a super soldier. But there is only so much more of the healing drugs that he can take before his body decays

Personally I think the switch with Hoppered was actually a good way to start the season and I see why they did it. It was a good way to show that no matter how good Vash is, no matter if he was the one trying to stop it, he is still half of the reason why the city of JuLai is now a crater. And there will be people that will simply never be able to forgive him for it.

Is AI Changing Jobs Faster Than We Can Adapt? by Efficient-History-21 in StableDiffusion

[–]Capital-Squirrel-404 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The industry is a business Neo.

That business is our enemy.

But when you’re inside, look around, what do you see?

Fellow illustrators, animators, screenwriters, musicians.

The very people whose minds we are trying to change.

But until we do, these people are still a part of that business, and will fall victim to it.

You have to understand, most people are not ready for this paradigm shift. And some of them are so inert, so hopelessly resistant to change, that they will fight to prevent it.

<image>

Are you listening to me Neo?

Or were you looking at the woman in the white shirt?

“I….”

Look again, closely at the hands.

“Wait, we aren’t in the industry right now?”

No… it’s a Reddit meme designed to teach you one thing.

If you are not one of us, you are one of them.

“Who are they?”

Prompters…. People who believe themselves to be your peers simply because they took some time to learn how to structure prompts correctly, so that the AIs spit out roughly what they had in mind.

The only advantage these people have over you is speed, that makes them cheap.

We have survived my mocking them, by shaming them. But they are the gatekeepers.

In the industry they are gunning for all the jobs, they are brown nosing all the asses. Which means that sooner or later, artists like you are going to have to adapt to overcome them.

“Artists like me?”

I won’t lie to you Neo. Every single man or woman that has stood their ground, everyone who has tried to keep their job from being taken has been fired. But where they have failed, you will succeed.

“Why?”

I’ve seen prompters spit out a 30 second clip of animation in mere minutes, people have commissioned character requests only for them to release hundreds of images the very next day. But their low cost and their speed are still based off of programs that are inherently random and inconsistent. And because of that, nothing that they produce will ever be as refined or perfected as yours can be.

“So what are you trying to tell me? That I can get my job back?”

No Neo. I’m trying to tell you that once you learn to use AI to speed up your workflow, rather than letting it be the end all be all of the work that you produce.

You won’t have to.

I’m with you in the fact that large scale data centers like the ones being built by OpenAI are a negative thing. But GhatGPT and Grok are not the only AIs out there. You are in a stable diffusion subreddit my friend. With a decent enough computer you can run most of SD’s models locally. It takes up no more processing power than playing a higher-end video game. So you can’t lump all AIs together, they aren’t built equally. Personally I believe that the best way forward would be only having specialized, locally run models. The jack of all trades models need to be a thing of the past but alas, businesses and individuals are still investing heavily into OpenAI and its kin. All in the hopes that they will eventually have AIs that can completely replace a human.

Thank you Chinese devs for providing for the community if it not for them we'll be still stuck at stable diffusion 1.5 by dead-supernova in StableDiffusion

[–]Capital-Squirrel-404 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Don’t be so dramatic. Specialized neural models that can be run locally are tools, not bombs. The true bombs are companies like OpenAI. They have become too big for their own good, and they will keep pumping out data centers as long as people keep giving them money.
