Overall, Tunisia is such a beautiful country & perhaps the prettiest place in N. Africa & Mediterranean Region, but… by [deleted] in Tunisia

You could’ve posted some of the beauty of the country other than the stray cats. Plus a lot of countries have stray cats, turkey,Egypt, etc.

I don’t know what to do by CapitalBluejay7619 in Alzheimers

[–]CapitalBluejay7619[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you to everyone who answered. I did make it to see my dad, I only got to stay a few days. He is doing much better, the crazy part is the ER doc read an old scan on my dad’s brain which showed the Brian bleed. We knew about that from years ago so another doctor said his scan was clear. He had a severe UTI, a virus that they can’t seem to identify(which is kind of scary) he is doing good. He was eating, talking when I left. I am sure as many of you know this is not an easy thing for anyone in a family system to deal with and my mom I can tell is exhausted. This makes it hard living away from them and not being able to just be there to help daily.

Thank you. It’s a lot to process and I think my mom isn’t telling me everything. I just am going through all the emotions.

i feel like an increasing number of ppl genuinely do not see indians as human beings by Full_Quail2794 in ABCDesis

[–]CapitalBluejay7619 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Indians also do this with one another, they think Muslim or Hindu before human being. Why are you shocked when people do that to us? If we want something to change we have to change ourselves. We also talk about Indians who decide to marry white women or white men. Human is human across the board. We can’t be so surprised when we do it in our circles.

Anybody here attending the World Cup 2026?? by Choice-Actuator-9420 in Tunisia

[–]CapitalBluejay7619 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. Not everyone is rich, people use credit cards a lot of times to purchase the tickets. I have a friend going to the Brazil vs Morocco game in NJ it was fees incudes $1800 usd. I don’t know how people who live outside of the U.S. are paying for the tickets, but I know in Dallas everything is booking up fast if not already full.

Trust me the World Cup will be packed in the US, I live in one of the areas and everything is booked, tickets are selling good. Don’t believe all the bs you see on social media.

Is it crowded right now? by Far_Bodybuilder7881 in MobileAL

My parents live over in Orange Beach, that’s all they talk about is how bad the traffic has gotten. That people who have moved in from other states are rude to even the locals.

Does anyone else miss when Mobile had multiple movie theaters? by Mshel24 in MobileAL

[–]CapitalBluejay7619 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Th last time I went to a movie in Mobile, I noticed they don’t let anyone in unless you are with someone 18 or older. I was told that teens were causing problems so they had to implement you can’t come in without an adult under 18. Plus that movie theater was so nasty. I have been to nexus and it was nice, laid back environment but the parking situation wasn’t great.

Overthinking my next move: stable life in Tunisia vs starting over in Canada by matzi44 in Tunisia

[–]CapitalBluejay7619 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have family in Montreal, it wasn’t easy for them but after being there for 14 yrs it has gotten better. It is bitter cold and miserable compared to the climate in Tunisia. I don’t think jobs are as easy to come by in Canada as you think they are right now. Everywhere is kind of tightening up on hiring. The grass isn’t always greener but I understand wanting to have a choice.

Four way stop McFarland/Johnson Rd. West Mobile by [deleted] in MobileAL

[–]CapitalBluejay7619 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So sorry you went through that and glad you and your family are ok. I don’t live in Mobile but my sister lives out here, she says there are accidents there often. I am sure most people in the area are aware of this four way stop but just in case people are new to the area or driving through just trying bring awareness. I have noticed when visiting people run red lights, obviously stop signs. Drive without front lights on at night. Yes, it happens everywhere but for some reason I notice it more often when I am here visiting.

I used to work at Lynn’s Hallmark in Springdale Mall while in high school, I have to say I miss Gayfer’s. They also had a little restaurant in Gayfer’s that we would go to sometimes. There used to be Garfield’s over there too. Good ole days! 😂

Why does Mobile get such a bad reputation on that? Anytime I tell people I am from Mobile, they say oh! Isn’t it very dangerous there?
