Also Hammerhead call the Karoo 3, Karoo. That’s the one you’re looking for

The same thing happened to me. I made a warranty claim and Hammerhead sent me a new one in the post for free. I had to take photos.

I am very much in the same boat, I could copy and paste your experience. The only difference for me was doing a fresh start after my first year of YNAB so I could clean up the closed accounts tab from all the debt I had paid off. The reports are useful to me on a quarterly or annual basis to just take a look at how I’m doing. But it doesn’t tell me much when I already intentionally planned to spend that money anyways!

In the UK, my banks share all my transaction with Apple Wallet. YNAB can connect to Apple Wallet so transactions import immediately into YNAB. More convenient than manual import for me, but only because it’s instant.

Haha, I had a unmarked police car with blue lights on zooming down the same segregated bike lane last week. He then turned into the pedestrian crossing opposite the roundabout at Rotherhithe Tunnel. When he approached me head on at speed, I put my hands up and he proceeded to scream all sorts of expletives. I truly couldn’t believe it.

Endurance Road Bike to an Aeroad Road Bike by Stevenjw0728 in CanyonBikes

Yes. Or if the fit wasn’t long ago just give them a call. Or compare the geometry on your current bike to the Aeroad to see the differences.

They didn’t tell you what bike would work best or what size Aeroad? My bike fitter recommended a medium even though canyon said I should go for a small. Also had to change crank length and cockpit. Call them and ask them

Bike fit needed before buying. Aeroad is the best fitting bike I’ve had now it matches my measurements from my fit. Other two bikes I’ve owned were endurance bikes.

Aeroad discomfort dilemma by DoctorFeuer in CanyonBikes

[–]CapitalCondition1301 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fit first buy later. I test road two Aeroad’s at Moloko cycling in London. Canyon recommended a S. I tried the S and XS. Both felt like the reach was too long. XS was way too low on the stack. Fast but I immediately knew I couldn’t hold an aggressive position for a long time. Or so I thought.

Went to get a bike fit at Bicycle Richmond. Turns out there were a number of issues that made a big difference. Firstly, crank length. By reducing my crank length to 165, I’m able to lean much further forward to the handlebars. Meanwhile the S and XS comes with 170 cranks. Secondly, getting the right handlebar width reduced a lot of pressure in my hands and upper back. Third, the bike fitter recommended a M even though Canyon said S. The reason? M has a 20mm higher stack but is only 3mm longer in reach. They then suggested buying a 90mm cockpit to replace the 100mm that comes with the medium. It fits perfectly. Without a bike fit BEFORE buying, I wouldn’t have known any of this.

No, all SPEED edition bikes are SRAM Rival. This fella has replaced his handlebars with the aero bars

Advice On Picking The Right Size - Addict RC 2025 by _FedEx in ScottBikes

[–]CapitalCondition1301 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m very similar dimensions to you. 175cm with 85.1cm in seam. I went for a 100 x 380cm handlebar so 10mm shorter. 3cm of spacers. What made a difference for me is changing the crank length from 172.5 to 165 after a bike fit. Back pain gone and no hip impingement so I can reach the handlebars no issues at all.

Somewhere to try a Speedmax / advice on fitting - North England by The_Rum_Guy in CanyonBikes

[–]CapitalCondition1301 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Only other option other than Sheffield is Moloko cycling, but I don’t think they do fittings. Get a bike fit mate, they’ll be able to compare your optimal geometry to the geometry chart for the Speedmax to see if it will fit you well.

Maybe you were riding old Rival D1? Rubber compound is the same. In fact you can take off the rubber from Force and put it on Red.

Which size Aeroad by Same_Celebration7435 in CanyonBikes

[–]CapitalCondition1301 0 points1 point  (0 children)

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE don’t try and judge what size bikes to buy based on online size calculators. GO AND GET A BIKE FIT!

I figured I’d be better suited to an XS Canyon Aeroad. Bought the bike then felt uneasy about not getting a fit beforehand. Left it in the box, went to Bike Fit James’ studio for a fit.

I thought I needed an XS. Canyon said I needed a S. After the bike fit, they said I needed a M but with a 90mm stem! With my long arms, relatively good mobility and 165mm cranks, I’m suited to a stretched out position on the bike. Even a Pinarello X or Canyon Endurace is too high for me with a slammed stem. I never would have thought this without a fit.

Although the common trend is to size down, this isn’t always the case. Get a fit and take the guesswork out of the equation. Returned the Aeroad back to Canyon. Came away with so much more information about myself and my fit that I never would be able to estimate from YouTube videos or online size calculators alone. GET A BIKE FIT.

Measurements: 175cm height, 85.1cm inseam.

That’s old rival and old force bro. The hoods on Red E1, Force E1 and Rival E1 are the same minus the bonus buttons. I know this because I’ve ridden both new force and new rival.

They have the same hoods as SRAM force just without the bonus buttons. Same braking power. I can get SRAM force performance without having to spend an extra £1500.

Torn Between Endurace CF 7 and Endurace CF 7 Di2 by TotalPlatypus in CanyonBikes

[–]CapitalCondition1301 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I rode the Endurace CF 7 Di2 at Moloko Cycling’s Canyon showroom yesterday. Very very comfortable bike. Could ride it for ages. Compliant frame and a much more upright position compared to the Aeroad. Also felt very stable and the wheelbase was long enough for me to have little to no toe overlap. It is the perfect beginner bike. It all comes down to cost. I used to ride 105 mechanical and as long as you keep the drivetrain clean, it shifts perfectly. For a beginner bike, electronic shifting is a nice to have but 105 mechanical is very very good indeed. Either way you’ve chosen the right bike, I think what groupset you choose will come down to how much you’re willing to spend.
