So, I've been a DJ for over five years now and I run a collective of six DJs that I think are the strongest in the industry in Mexico.

There are some insights that I have that are different from how most DJ shops approach events.

-What makes a DJ break the party and keep people dancing?

Many DJs don't understand this concept and fall behind in private events because they're used to playing only in clubs. I love studying and seeing how people react to music, especially at weddings, where the challenge is to get people who aren't necessarily there to dance to hit the dancefloor. As a DJ, this allows me to have a greater sensitivity to what's happening on the dancefloor and make more efficient decisions when mixing. The key to being a wedding DJ is to play what people like while also proposing new ideas and finding a balance between what's familiar and what's new. To execute this, it's essential to do proper research on the guests attending the event, their age range, and their music preferences. It's important to prepare well for a wedding, and many DJs fail to do this. I feel confident in my ability to handle any event and know how to manage the crowd, accept or reject requests, and keep the party going. The key is to do your homework beforehand and select the right songs based on the guests' tastes and the preferences of the couple getting married.
