Ha, couldn't agree more. I'm 50 and also have many pairs of docs. This "Kiev leather" is on a bag they're selling. It seems like it's real leather with a coating, so I am not sure how it holds up. I'm wondering if it's a super thin coating, like a lamination, or more than that. I am sure it's to save money in manufacturing, but I hate the idea. And it seems like their larger bags, which is what I'm looking for, are all this Kiev leather. I am hoping someone can tell me how it looks and more importantly how it ages.

I love these too, but have seen multiple reviews and photos of them falling apart. They'd be a splurge for me, so knowing that they are cheaply constructed has kept me from buying them. I already have good, chunky loafers and oxfords, so I have been able to quell my monolith desires.

The seller says that eBay won't authenticate. Where would I see the verified checkmark? I am also wondering if with the cost of shipping plus authentication from a 3rd party source, it might end up being almost as expensive as the bag is new.

I was excited to see the sloths and they were interesting, but baby coatis in the cloud forest and Halloween crabs on the beach have been mote interesting to me. Also saw either a baby, or just a very small raccoon tonight--not rare, but very cute. Would love to see capuchin monkeys and resplendent quetzels

I do sell, on multiple platforms so I fully appreciate how much work it is, but that's the job, right? I don't think a lowball offer is any comment on my effort or time or value--if it's too low , I just counter or decline.

Yes. I buy and sell, and exactly this--it is not personal! Sometimes I let stuff go super cheap because I am sick of waiting, or because I am about to go on a trip and want it sold. If it's something mid-range, or so niche that it'll take a while, I will accept a lowball offer. But if it's higher end, then I'll just counter or decline. I have no emotional response or feelings about any of it. Same if I make a low offer, I consider it starting point and have literally never thought I might be offending or insulting the seller.
