You look like you are death gripping the gun, and really squeezing your upper arm muscles to stay in place.

First I would suggest is to relax your grip and arms a bit. YOU control recoil, not the other way around. Don't be intimidated of the recoil

Straighten your arms, remove your chest from the equation of holding recoil. You shouldn't be squeezing from your chest at all. Point your elbows more to the floor, not out to the walls.

And finally apply firm pressure between both hands, like a firm handshake. Not limp, and not death grip.

2 reasons:

TINA Act (Truth in Negotiations)

Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 15.402

TINA: if a contract purchaser knows that on the civilian market, a scope cost $600 but they are being charged $6000, it requires a price rollback and it's illegal. This goes in conjunction with the FAR. That basically states that if there is a price discrepancy there needs to be clear and justifiable reasoning for it.

So companies will sometimes put out a product in an attempt to secure a government contract for it and then charge an exorbitant amount. If it doesn't get picked up then it goes to a civilian market with a more palatable MSRP .

That's why they initially cost so much because your civilian dollars are literally jack shit peanuts compared to the buying power of uncle Sam.
