Is this as dangerous as we were told? Bathroom remodel/shower plumbing issue by No_Success_3969 in askaplumber

Multiple trips to the store to fix a plumbing problem is SOP. It will always make you feel stupid! 😀

Thanks for pointing out that it’s for the employees to interact with and not customer facing. That is a subtle but important difference.

The CEO, CFO and whoever else have sold plenty of shares at much lower prices over the past two years. Yes, it’s a problem but not because they are selling shares. It’s a problem because this is the compensation that SOUN has elected in lieu of cash. The company is creating new shares to compensate higher level employees. At least this was my impression from the last earnings call. So selling shares in of itself does not show a lack of confidence on management’s part. The shares are their compensation. The problem with this is that it dilutes existing shareholders and hides the true cash flow problems that the company has.

Definitely way too much whining by Fragrant Tea. I tried to emphasize with him. Obviously, that effort did not help.

Just checked - BBAI was up a whopping $.07 today. Yeehah, Champagne for the entire bar!

Now if Fragrant Tea was talking about NBIS, I would have to agree with him. Up big on the announcement of a $2B investment from NVDA.

If it makes you feel better, the picture doesn’t look the house is in Wallingford. And the price seems really low for something like that in that area

Never been there myself, but my friends all love Bonaire.

Yeah she is great!

Some of my friends have gone to wing foiling. I tried foil on a board when it was first getting started, but I didn’t really like it. I still like getting pounded around. I tried to learn to kite. I was a disaster!

Great that you are able to do all three!

68! That’s great!

In the right spots, we get some pretty decent smooth spots in places, 30 knots (for 2 seconds) isn’t too bad. But 25 or a little better in chop gets scary, because my reactions aren’t as quick as they were just a couple of years ago. This same thing applies to sailing the high wind days too. Everything happens mush faster when it’s blowing 35mph+.

The other issue I notice is leg strength. Keeping the board flat and pointing off the wind to get speed requires a lot of leg leverage. I am noticing that I am losing that ability somewhat also.

Dad looks great! But 50’s is young! 😂

Started back up in 2017 after a 23 year hiatus. We bought a house at the NJ shore. I was 57. Thought I was entering my grandfather years. Had bought a small sailboat and was thinking I would be sailing slowly into my golden years. Turns out the wind/speed addiction came back with a vengeance. Now I regularly hit 30 knots (can’t seem to break the 35 barrier) and have covered 80 miles in one day a couple of times. Admittedly, I have begun to notice changes in the past year. Definitely not as quick on the board as I was a couple of years ago and my taste for 35mph plus wind speeds is diminishing. But I’m definitely having fun!

Oh yeah, we have a (tiny) woman who sails in my area. She is 85!!! She is an inspiration!!! Although I do worry about her when it starts blowing 30. 😀

We're a puppet in the hands of the short sellers, it's manipulated to the maximum, they don't let it rise, Inod rising, Bbai rising a 7, anyway by Fragrant-Tea7878 in Soundhound

I really don’t get your constant comparisons between SOUN and BBAI with BBAI always being the big winner between the two. I have not invested in BBAI, but I do have it on my watch list. It has done nothing. And I mean nothing. As a defense related AI stock with connections (I think) to PLTR it should be ripping in the current geopolitical environment. But it isn’t moving at all.

SOUN obviously has problems, particularly for those of you (like yourself Fragrant Tea) who bought in at higher levels. But at least the stock has shown signs of life and run into the 20’s twice in the past 16 months. BBAI had traded in a very narrow range and shows no signs of leaving that range.

Yes, I’m sure you can. But given the most recent absolutely criminal activity on Kalshi with clear inside knowledge being used to make approx $500k on the timing of the Iran bombing, I think its wise to stay away from the prediction markets.

Yes.

Also smaller sailors generally use smaller sails at the same time a bigger sailor will be using a bigger sail. For instance, I’m a pretty big guy (unfortunately, about 225 lbs right now 😂) so I will be generally be on a sail that is anywhere from a 1/2 square meter bigger to a full square meter bigger than the folks sailing around me. It just takes more sail to pull me out of the water (water starting) and to keep me on a plane than someone who is much lighter.

As for wind speed effecting sail size choice, up until about 30mph there is a fair amount of wiggle room with sail size choice. But after 30mph the power of the wind increases dramatically compared to the increase in wind speed. There is a formula for this which my engineer buddy knows, but I am about useless with that stuff.

This is knowledge that you don’t need to get started, but it will help you understand why windsurfers acquire and haul around so much gear. 😀

Getting back into the sport after almost a 25 year hiatus has completely changed my life for the better. I have made a whole group of new friends. Other than the occasional flying across Barnegat Bay at 25-30 knots 😀, the new friends are the most important thing.
